The 5th annual Valhalla Highland Strongman competition took place yesterday at Strathmore Highland Games and continued to set the bar even higher with the standard of competition on display.
⚑️
In front of a large and enthusiastic crowd, our 6 x Valhalla Highland Strongmen put on a real show as they battled it out for the title.

This year's champion is Brett Hampton. πŸ†

On Sunday we had 3 lifters of Valhalla Powerlifting Team represent us at the GPC Scotland Western Qualifier in Clydebank.
⚑️
Up first in the 75kg class was Chris Hunter who hit 9/9 on his competitive powerlifting debut!
Chris has experienced more tremendous gains through his hard work and adherence to the Valhalla Strength Coaching program:
Squat - 150kg (+20kg PB)
Bench - 105kg (Equals PB)
Deadlift - 200kg (+35kg PB)
Total - 455kg (+55kg PB)
Chris came away with a gold medal for winning his class and set FOUR Scottish records in the process!
⚑️
Next up in the 100kg class was Rudi Brechin, who was also making his competitive powerlifting debut.
Squat - 180kg
Bench - 140kg
Deadlift - 260kg
Total - 580kg
Rudi came away with a gold medal for winning his class as well!
⚑️
Last but by no means least, was the seasoned medal man, Stuart Davidson in the 140kg class.
Squat - 175kg
Bench - 160kg
Deadlift - 260kg
Total - 595kg
Stuart came away with a gold medal for winning his class.
He also came 3rd as overall best lifter in the Masters category.

We are delighted to announce that gym co-owner and Valhalla Strength Coaching Head Coach, Brett Hampton, is now an official AWPC European Powerlifting Champion.
⚑️
Competing in Limerick, Ireland yesterday with international teams from 13 European nations present, Brett has brought the gold medal back home to Forfar!
After hanging up the football boots last June, the move into powerlifting has proven to be a successful one.
