It is with extreme sadness that WWSC has taken the difficult decision to close. Last night, club members enjoyed a final evening in a packed clubhouse filled with stories and fond memories. The room was alive with the spirit of our club, a testament to the bonds we’ve built over the last 50+ years. Happy memories will be cherished by so many who enjoyed the beautiful setting, cruising, racing, training and friendships created through a vibrant sailing community - on and off the water.

In some final good news, our youth sailor Harry has received a performance bursary from the RYA to continue to develop his sailing and racing. This is definitely a name to keep an eye out for in the future. Good luck Harry, we are proud that your love of sailing started at WWSC.

Unfortunately, due to current weather warnings regarding Storm Bert tomorrow, we have decided to postpone the asset sale that was due to take place. Apologies for any inconvenience this causes. We have emailed those who were due to come, however please do help pass on the message to ensure no one makes an unnecessary trip in heavy rain and strong winds.

This was the stunning sight that greeted our sailors who turned up for the annual Winter Draws On regatta last Sunday. Unfortunately, the wind failed to materialise leading to the event being postponed. However, good news for this weekend with light to moderate winds forecast and mild temperatures. We still have lots going on at the club with Saturday pm racing, Shipmates and Sunday am racing. Come down and enjoy the atmosphere!

What a day on the water! Saturday turned out even better than expected for our young sailors. The kids had a blast learning to trapeze, showing off their new skills, while others enjoyed a relaxed race around the lake.

To top it off, we wrapped up the day with cake and ice creams on the clubhouse balcony, soaking in the autumnal sunshine and great company.

What a lovely evening. Tonight our youth sailors swapped their wetsuits for something cozy and enjoyed a fun evening at the clubhouse watching Moana together. Laughter, great company and plenty of snacks made for a perfect night.

Summer is back, and so are the perfect sailing days! On Saturday, we had an incredible time out on the water with over 50 young sailors showing off their skills and passion for sailing. Make sure you get down to the club this weekend to make the most of the remaining ‘summer’!
