Kids already KONG climber veterans and ready to level up?

Our KONG Advanced Kids Club starts May 9th & 10th!

Over this 4-week course, young climbers will learn the fundamentals of top roping, belaying, climbing safety, and build confidence on the big wall 💪🏻

Once they’ve completed the course, they’ll be ready to bring their new skills into our regular Kids Club sessions.

Everyone, say hey to Luca (He/Him), our fave assistant instructor here at F51.

Luca is a highly experienced and very strong climber with a solid background in both performance and community leadership. During his time at university, he played a key role in running the climbing society at Canterbury, helping to organise sessions, support members of all abilities, and foster an inclusive and motivated climbing environment.

With a natural passion for the sport, Luca brings both technical skill and enthusiasm to his sessions. He is confident supporting climbers at all levels, offering guidance, encouragement, and a positive atmosphere on the wall.

He is always happy to help if you ever need a helping hand 🙌🏻

✨ International Women’s Day at F51 ✨

This Sunday we’re celebrating International Women’s Day at F51.

At F51 and The Sports Trust we’re passionate about reducing barriers and creating opportunities for all women to try climbing, skating, and other action sports with confidence.

To celebrate, we’re running:
🧗‍♀️ Climbing workshops
🎟 £10 day entry (climbing only)
🛹 £12 day entry (climb and skate)

All equipment is included, so whether you’re completely new or already experienced, you’re welcome to come along and get involved.

Everyone, say hey to Tom (He/Him), our Kids Club Lead here at F51.

The mastermind behind the chaos (the good kind), Tom runs Kids Club with energy, patience, and the kind of encouragement that makes young climbers believe they can actually top that route. He’s got a natural way with kids. Equal parts structure, fun, and “go on, you’ve got this.”

He’s also a big part of our LGBTQIA+ social community, helping create a space where everyone feels welcome on and off the wall. Always first to hype your send, always ready with steady encouragement, and never short on belief in the people around him.

Which is exactly why a “well done” from Tom hits different.

You earned it. And he absolutely noticed.

Meet another human behind the chalk ✨

Everyone, say hey to Gabrielle (She/Her), one of our climbing instructors here at F51.

Armed with a Degree in Outdoor Adventure Education, she’s taught in academic outdoor education settings and built a strong technical foundation through trad climbing, sport climbing, and outdoor bouldering. Add experience as a watersports, mountain bike, and coasteering instructor plus a hill and moorland leader and you’ve got someone who’s completely at home in environments shaped by gravity, friction, and controlled chaos.

She’s known for being rock-solid funny, genuinely lovely, and always there to spot your send whether that’s unlocking the crux or being the emotional belay you didn’t know you needed mid-session.

Which is exactly why a compliment from Gabrielle hits different. She saw everything. Pinpoint feedback, savage hype, ego lightly crimped, and somehow you’re stronger for it. ✨🔥🫶🏼
