Most of us spend our time trying to get rid of dandelions from the garden…

But these little yellow flowers have been used traditionally for generations to support digestion and the body’s natural detoxification processes.

The leaves are often associated with digestive support and healthy fluid balance, which is why dandelions are sometimes linked to lymphatic health too.

And here’s something you might not know… dandelion leaves can be added to salads too. Just make sure you give them a good wash first! 🌼🥗

I’m always fascinated by how many useful plants are growing right under our noses.

Do you find yourself waking at the same time every night? 👀

This beautiful handmade clock was commissioned for me by Elaine at Warthog's Paint Your Own Pottery and is based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine body clock.

In TCM, different times of the day and night are associated with different organ systems. For example, waking repeatedly between 1am and 3am is traditionally linked with the liver, while other times are linked to different body systems.

Whether you follow TCM or simply find it interesting, I think it’s fascinating how different wellness traditions look for patterns and clues within the body.

And can we take a moment to appreciate Elaine’s talent? I absolutely love this piece and it now has pride of place in my office. Every time I look at it, it reminds me to be curious about what our bodies might be trying to tell us.

If you’re feeling swollen, puffy or like your body’s just holding onto everything lately… apparently this random sticky plant everyone used to throw at each other as kids actually has benefits 🌿😅

Cleavers/sticky willy/goosegrass has traditionally been used to support the lymphatic system and excess fluid.

So instead of buying another expensive “detox” thing… I went into the woods and made this for free 😂

No weird taste. Dead easy. Weirdly satisfying.

Loved tonight’s session with Buckie Swimming Club 🤍

We focus on core strength, mobility and shoulder stability to support their swimming — nothing complicated, just consistent work that adds up over time.

I get them to shout out anything they want to work on at the start, so it’s not just me deciding everything… and we always manage to have a bit of fun with it too.

All aiming towards injury-free athletes and hopefully a few PBs along the way.
