A win and a loss on the opening weekend of the season💙

The First Team travelled to Kempston United FC and secured a 1-3 win in a fiercely contested match. Some good football in spells and should have notched a couple more, but it’s a great start to the Tony Milioti reign 🤝

It was a different story for the As who lost heavily to Luton Phoenix FC - giving themselves a mountain to climb as they conceded all 5 goals in the first half. On to next week to put things right.

All teams in action again next week, with a first game for the Reserves new management team💙

We’re delighted to share that Flitwick Town Football Club has been awarded £3,000 through the Persimmon Homes Community Champions Scheme💙

The donation was formally presented to us last week by councillors John Roberts and Lorraine Bandy of Flitwick Town Council and David Ablett, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Midlands.

Awards like this are huge for volunteer-led grassroots clubs like Flitwick Town FC, in what is a challenging financial landscape for most clubs up and down the country. The funding will make a real difference, helping us keep football affordable, accessible and sustainable for our players. Awards and support like this genuinely helps to keep us afloat.

We would like to thank Persimmon Homes for their support, as they are proving how their contribution to local communities stretches far beyond the homes they build. It was great to meet David, and to share a passion for football and community cohesion.

We would also like to thank the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, John Roberts and Lorraine Bandy, for joining us and for the positive conversations that unfolded after the cheque presentation. More on this soon, as Flitwick Town look to support local charities and upcoming health and wellbeing events 🤩

Our First Team have their first fixture in Division One after last season’s painful relegation. A good start is needed to push on. Away Kempston United FC to kick things off.

The Reserves also travel to Kempston to face who narrowly beat us in a pre season friendly just a few weeks ago. The battle of the The Cross Keys sponsors 😂

The A Team face Luton Phoenix FC at Lea Manor Recreation Centre, kicking off their Division Three campaign.

Yes, his 23rd season with Flitwick Town. A man who could have played much much higher but chose his local club.

The A Team suffered a 4-2 loss after being 2-0 up at half time. Fitness dipped and DTCC FC stepped up for a second half turnaround.
