🏆🎾 ADULT CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS 2026

What a day! Our Adult Club Championship Finals 2026 took place on Saturday 5th September, showcasing fantastic tennis, fierce competition and, most importantly, excellent sportsmanship.

☀️ In the bright late-summer sunshine, our finalists produced some exceptional tennis for the many spectators who came along to enjoy the action. We were privileged to witness a series of highly competitive matches, all played in an excellent spirit.

👏 Congratulations to all our finalists for reaching the final stages of the competition, and many congratulations to our worthy champions:

Only two days to go until our Adult Club Tournament 2026 Finals Day! 🎾🏆

Once again, we are very lucky to have the support of our sponsor and club member Mark Bradbury of Bradbury Plumbers Ltd. Our sincere thanks to Mark for his continued support of the tournament 👏

Please find attached the Order of Play for Saturday.

The day gets underway at 11.00am with the Men’s, Ladies’ and Vets’ Singles Finals, followed by the Men’s, Ladies’ and Vets’ Doubles Finals at around 1.00–1.30pm. We will then round off the day with the Mixed Doubles Finals, starting at approximately 3.00–3.30pm.

The weather is looking good, so it promises to be a fantastic day for tennis — and it would be wonderful to see plenty of club members, family and friends coming along to support our finalists☀️

There will be some wonderful refreshments prepared by our Club President, Hilary, and the bar will be open from midday. And, of course, we mustn’t forget Libby Mabbitt’s famous cheesecake! 🍰

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday for what promises to be a great day of tennis, good company and plenty of support for our finalists.

The sun was shining, the food and drinks were flowing, and there was plenty of friendly tennis, laughter and good company!

🏓 English Open Pickleball Tournament 2026 – NEC Birmingham

A huge well done to all of our members who competed at the English Open Pickleball Tournament at the NEC Birmingham over the weekend!

🏆 Many congratulations to Stuart Cox, who won the Gold Medal in the 4.0 Age 35+ event — a fantastic achievement!

👏 Jack and Emily Devereux also excelled in the Mixed Doubles, battling through a difficult group to reach the Last 32 knockout stage in the 3.5 Age 15+ event.

👏 Dennis Briscoe did brilliantly to secure a place in the knockout stages of both the Mixed 4.0 Age 50+ and Doubles 4.0 Age 50+ events.

👏 Josh Ball and Jack Devereux also competed strongly throughout their group matches.

Congratulations to everyone who took part. We’re incredibly proud of you all and the commitment, effort and sportsmanship you showed throughout the championships.

🏆 Beds 60+ Team Finish on a High!

The Beds 60+ team rounded off their season with an excellent 3–2 win over a strong Dorset side at Flitwick&Ampthill Tennis Club today.

Congratulations to Paul Hammond, Nick Sleap, non-playing captain Hamish Galloway, John Kitchener and Nigel Croft (📸L to R) on a fantastic result and a great way to finish the season! 👏🎾
