This morning the Jaguars took part in an Annual Trophy with the other Poulton Town teams from the same age group in an event that was kindly sponsored by Jaguars sponsor Imove Sales & Lettings

Returning for its Second Year, the Jaguars, Leopards, Panthers and Pumas all took part at Mill Farm, Kirkham, with the Jaguars starting the day as returning Champions.

The Jags played some great football, really passing and moving the ball well around the pitch, with a particular highlight being a goal which was started from the goalkeeper and then touched by every outfield player.

The games were played in great spirit with each team playing excellent football and most importantly the players enjoying themselves.

With 3 wins from 3, the Jags were the winners of the event and took home the trophy for a second successive year.

This was the Jags third trophy from their first full season in which each and every player has improved and developed over the last 12 months - well done boys!

Big shout out and thanks to all the coaches, players and parents from all the Under 8 Poulton Teams for helping out and also to iMove Sales and Lettings for covering the pitch hire.

The Jaguars took part in the Thornton FC Summer tournament today off the back of their Highbury Cup win last week.

The Jaguars were on fire 🔥 and were dominant in their first group phase, winning 5 games from 5 matches only conceding one goal in the process.

That saw them put into the ‘Champions League’ stage for the next round. The lads continued with their excellent performances, finishing 3rd in the group, only conceding 2 goals and losing 1 game, to the eventual tournament winners, in the second league stage.

Onto the semi finals and the Jags took the lead with a fantastic team goal which Dan described as ‘liquid football’, however it was just a step too far as the boys eventually ran out of steam and ended up on the wrong side of a 4-1 scoreline.

There were some tears of sadness and frustration at the end, however, the lads should be proud of themselves competing with some teams from higher league, winning 7, drawing 2 and only losing 1 of the 10 group games, finishing 3rd overall out of 18 teams in the league standings.

Well done, we are proud of you all today.

This morning the Jaguars took part in a tournament at Highbury Stadium.

It was a great experience for the boys with them playing on the pitch and getting their names called out as they entered the pitch!

The boys gave a great account of themselves, after a bit of a slow start against some very good opposition, the Jaguars grew in confidence and were drawn into the ECL Cup for the knockout stages.

The Jaguars beat Hesketh Bank Ambers 5-0 in the semi finals to put them into the final against Hough End Griffins.

The Jaguars stepped it up again in the final and won 4-0, cue the celebrations! 🏆

Well done Jags, a great team effort on a great occasion! 🐆🟠⚫️

The Jaguars took on the Clifton Wasps at Stanley Park this morning in a well contested game.

The Jaguars started slowly but grew into the half as the game went on, with a particular highlight being Ethan, the Goalkeeper, scoring from his own area!

The Jaguars moved the ball round far better in the second half with some fantastic flowing football and creating a number of great chances.

Man of the Match was Freddie for his hard work, good passing and partly due to his ‘glitzy’ hairstyle!

The Under 7 Jaguars league game was called off so a friendly against Kirkham Juniors Yellows was arranged at the Civic Centre.

The game was played in great spirit and was a fun game to watch with plenty of attacking football on display, with everyone of the Jaguars outfield players getting on the scoresheet, Ethan, the goalkeeper, almost got himself in on the act after a last minute mazy run was ended by a last ditch tackle in the opponents box!

Playing back on grass meant it took a short while for the Jaguars to get used to the pitch and implement their passing game. Sebby was awarded Player of the Match for not just his Hat Trick of goals, but also for his passing and in particular a great square ball for an assist!
