⚽ IT IS TIME! ⚽

Our first games of the 2026/27 season kick off in just 30 minutes and, of course… it’s raining! ☔️😂 it is supposed to clear up later though 🤞🏼

Best of luck to all our teams playing today. We hope you enjoy being back on the pitch and are ready for another brilliant season of grassroots football. ⚽️❤️

REMEMBER — it’s grassroots, not the World Cup!

Everyone at the Fylde & Lancashire Youth Football League is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Andy Lawrenson from Kirkham Juniors FC.

Andy was one of those people who represented everything that is good about grassroots football. A dedicated coach, committee member and friend, he gave so much of his time to his club and to the young people within it.

Those who knew Andy speak of a genuinely fantastic man who was always there to help others, and we know his loss will be felt enormously throughout Kirkham Juniors and the wider grassroots football community.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Andy’s wife, his family, friends and everyone at Kirkham Juniors FC at this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for everything you gave to grassroots football, Andy. You will be very sadly missed. ❤️⚽

⚽FLYFL U7 3v3 Mini Festival ⚽

Join us on Saturday 26th September, 9:00–10:00am at Stanley Park, Blackpool for our first FLYFL U7 3v3 Mini Festival!

At FLYFL, we’re passionate about creating friendly, well-organised football opportunities where young players can get as much time on the ball as possible, play with their friends and, most importantly, have fun!

We know that U7 football is often the start of the grassroots journey for coaches as well as players, so FLYFL league volunteers will be there throughout the festival to offer support, answer questions and help guide any new or inexperienced coaches.

The festival is open to U7 teams from any league, although we’d particularly love to see plenty of our local clubs joining us.

We have just 14 team spaces available, so get your team signed up and come and enjoy an hour of fast, fun and friendly 3v3 football! ⚽🙌

The CN Sports u13s Dynamites team are looking for 1 or 2 players to come and join the team.

The Dynamites have had loads of success winning the top division in phases 2 & 3 of the FLYFL, winning the league cup and finishing as runners up in the county cup.

The team are now pushing themselves by playing a year up in the u14s top division, moving from 9aside to 11aside and require 1 or 2 medium to high level players to complete their squad for this challenge, with a need for a central midfielder.

🙋‍♀️⚽ COULD YOU HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL? ⚽🙋‍♂️

The Fylde & Lancashire Youth Football League is run by volunteers, and as our league continues to grow, we need more people to join our team! 💙💛

We’re currently particularly looking for:

🛡️ Discipline Officer
📋 Registration Officer
👧🏼 Age Group Co-Ordinator
💛 Welfare Assistants – we’d especially love to hear from people outside of the Fylde Coast to help us strengthen our welfare support across the wider area.

But these aren’t the only roles available!

If you have some time to give and think you could bring any skills, knowledge or experience to the league, we’d genuinely love to hear from you. You don’t necessarily need a football background – just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

Whether you can offer a little time or a lot, every volunteer makes a difference.
