After a disappointing 2025 league campaign, the 1st team responded in outstanding fashion, winning 20 of their 21 completed league fixtures, including an incredible run of 19 consecutive victories.
The side also enjoyed an excellent T20 campaign, reaching Finals Day for the second successive year. This time, they went one step further, lifting the Northern League T20 trophy and progressing to the area finals. A strong performance saw them overcome Edgworth in the semi-final, before falling short against an excellent Northern side in the final.
There were numerous standout contributions from the amateur players throughout the season, and when combined with Hurraira’s exceptional consistency and run-scoring, it placed the team in a strong position to secure a return to Division One.
Congratulations to everyone who contributed to a fantastic season. We now look forward to seeing the 1st team back competing in Division One in 2027.
