Another first, here you can see a UK Meritorious Service Medal which is positioned in front of long service awards in the order of wear

Another first for me, the Nato Meritorious Service Medal. I had to correct the order of wear when this one came in. It had been mounted previously in the order of other meritorious service medals, which I suppose is easy to get wrong, however this medal has been classed as a ‘Foreign Award’ and is to be mounted as such, after official UK order of wear awards.

I’ve not posted for a while. It’s not that I’ve not had work but my full time job has been pretty busy over the last year and fitting in the medal work around it has been time consuming that I’ve not had time to post. Here’s a selection from some of the work I’ve done over the last year

It’s holiday time. I will not be replying to anything for the next couple of weeks. Any orders I currently have with me are safe and secure and I’ll get back to you following my break 🍻

A set came in to have a new brooch fitted. The state of what was underneath was not good. Glue and sticky pads meant the medals had to be carefully cleaned up.

A second Blackburn Rovers shirt that I’ve framed. This is for the father of the last recipient for his 80th birthday. Dad and lad now have nearly matching framed shirts.

A recent framing piece for a veteran who was a casualty of the battle of Anzio. A veteran of the Manchester Regiment who was attached to The Royal Fusilier (City of London) Regt and was invalided out of service. This piece will be exhibited as part of the VE Day 80 exhibitions in Blackpool
