Why is October 10th so important every year?

Because World Mental Health Day gives us an opportunity to openly talk about something that, for far too long, people were encouraged to hide.

In the past, those struggling with their mental health were often labelled as weak. They were told to “man up,” “get on with it,” or that someone else had it worse.

But the truth is, until you’ve walked in someone else’s shoes, you have no idea how difficult their journey might be.

For someone struggling with their mental health, it can be incredibly hard to believe there is a way forward. People talk about “the light at the end of the tunnel,” but sometimes there isn’t even a glimmer of light, just darkness.

But there is a way forward.

It isn’t always easy, and it doesn’t happen overnight. But with the right support, each day can become a little easier and that light can gradually become brighter.

So please, don’t suffer in silence.

Reach out to a friend, your partner, a family member, a work colleague, or one of the many incredible organisations that are there to listen and help.

For men in the South of England, there’s ManGangUK (It'sNotWeakToSpeak) . In the Republic of Ireland, there’s Teac Tom And Samaritans provide support throughout the UK and Ireland.

And perhaps most importantly, look out for the people around you. Sometimes the person who appears to be the strongest is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

Today and every day start the conversation, listen without judgement and remind people that they don’t have to face things alone.

Our new RAMIT Rugby playing kit is ready, complete with the logos of the fantastic companies supporting us this season and we think it looks brilliant!

A huge thank you to every one of our kit sponsors. It’s especially great to see several companies continuing their support from previous seasons. That loyalty means a huge amount to everyone involved with RAMIT Rugby, and we genuinely appreciate you sticking with us and believing in what we are trying to achieve.

The importance of this sponsorship goes far beyond putting a company logo on a rugby shirt.

Without the financial support we receive through our kit sponsorship, it would be much harder for RAMIT Rugby to raise the money we do for the charities and organisations supporting people struggling with their mental health.

But for us, it’s about more than fundraising.

Every company whose logo appears on this shirt is also helping us spread the message that mental health matters. Yes!!! You read that correctly, Gaelic football is coming to the Emirates Dubai 7s it’s a little too late to organise a team for this year but RAMIT Rugby would love to bring a team in 2027. If you think you can help or would like to play get in touch. With everything at the Dubai 7’s it’s bound to be very competitive so let’s get a team that can compete for the 🏆🥇

To show our appreciation at RAMIT Rugby for your incredible achievement last week, we’ve put together a special video montage featuring some of our players, including a current international and a few former internationals.

Reaching the summit of Mount Fuji is an incredible achievement in itself, but doing it in such adverse conditions made it even more remarkable.

This is just our small way of saying a massive THANK YOU for choosing RAMIT Rugby as one of the beneficiaries of the money you raised.
Your support genuinely means so much to all of us and will help us continue supporting mental health and su***de prevention charities.

Not only did Gav Lewis win the voting for best try in his category, he has only gone and won best try across all categories for the Touch Rugby European Championship that was held in Vichy, France!! 🥇💪 Well done Skip 👏👏

WOW!!! What an achievement! 👏🏔️

Firstly, a huge thank you for choosing RAMIT Rugby as one of the charities you wanted to support, and secondly, well done!! we are all incredibly proud of you at RAMIT Rugby, and I know all your fellow rugby brothers at RAMIT will be feeling exactly the same.

You can hear the emotion in your voice, which shows just how much this meant to you and how determined you were not to let anyone down by not making it to the summit of Mount Fuji. But believe me, not one of us would have thought any less of you if you hadn’t made it. What you’ve taken on is an incredible challenge and achievement in itself.

It’s easy for me sitting here on my sofa to probably not fully appreciate just how tough this has been and what an achievement reaching that summit really is!
