It is a great golf course that is well looked after and in excellent condition. Here is a course which stands up to the most rigorous comparison with some of it’s neighbours in Surrey and Hants. A James Braid design that was improved by the legendary Harry C**t in 1913, the course is a superb example of a mature heathland layout with a delightful mix of heather and tall trees bordering each impres

sively manicured fairway. Measuring 6600 yards from the back tees, North Hants is a true test of every club in the bag and now enjoys the sort of greens and fairways that only a recently installed irrigation system can ensure. But we are more than just a great course. This club is home to one of the biggest Amateur Tournaments in the game, The Hampshire Hog, an event won in the past by Sandy Lyle, Michael Bonallack and US Open Champion Justin Rose, amongst many other famous names of the amateur and profressional game. Justin learned his golf here as a junior and still returns to play with his many friends. This is a club with superb facilities for all its members – a wonderful clubhouse, great service and food, a thriving, friendly membership, plenty of competition and superb practice facilities.

Best of luck to all our members playing in the Nugent & Hood Cups today. Algernon Nugent was Club Captain in 1906 (his wife was Lady Captain in the same year). The Hood Cup was presented in 1910 by H. Acland Hood. In 1926 the Nugent was divided into two divisions with the Hood being awarded to the winner of the higher handicap division. Play well everyone! 🏌️‍♂️ ⛳️ 🏆

Ladies Open 2026!

Congratulations to Judy Ames, Sue Hitchen, Monica Finlayson and Susan Dryden for winning the North Hants Ladies Open 2026 with an incredible 86 points! We had 96 ladies brave the weather and despite the rain not stopping all day, spirits were (mostly) high, with some incredible golf being played. A full list of results can be found on our website.

Congratulations also to Julie Benford who made a hole in one on the 8th hole! Safe to say Julie was the winner of the nearest the pin competition. ⛳️

Thank you to everyone for playing in the event and we’re looking forward to the Ladies Open 2027!

🚨BREAKING! During the second round of our junior Stags match at Caversham, Tyler Morrison and Max Foster, playing together in a fourball, both recorded holes-in-one. Remarkably, these aces came on the same hole and in consecutive shots 😲 — an extraordinary achievement at odds of around 17 million to 1! 🏌🏻‍♂️🏌🏻‍♂️🕳️ 🕳️👏👏
