🌟🌟Southern 100🌟🌟

We had a brilliant week in the beautiful Isle of Man, weather was gorgeous, everything pretty much ran to schedule and Roddy had 4 races with 4 good finishes - nothing to fix and no tyre changing needed.

Thanks as ever to everyone who supports us and helps keep the wheels turning !

We will not be at Oliver’s Mount this weekend or Armoy the following one - Roddy is currently a wee bit under the weather and in hospital. Will update with the plan once we know a bit more

⭐️⭐️Tandragee 26/27th June ⭐️⭐️

Tandragee has again been “character building” for us, we left Oliver’s Mount and went straight there on the Tuesday, arriving in the paddock amidst a hive of activity- what a great team of people and a lovely welcome. 🤗

Friday was warm up and qualifying day, with wall to wall sunshine. Race day on Saturday was warm with occasional mental rain ☔️☔️ just enough rain to need a tyre change or 2.

Qualifying on the CSB didn’t feel quite right and turns out it had a leaky shock. Nothing that I could do to resolve it in the paddock so that was that, back in the van. The CSB race was eventually cancelled because of low numbers and the red flag delays.

Qualifying on the 400 was wet with brand new tyres . The race was dry and swapped with the feature race so it was the last one of the day after a lengthy delay. We had a small issue with tyre warmers that meant I started with almost cold tyres 🙃 finishing was good enough 🏁🏁

Ricky’s first time at Tandragee, he had a great learning 2 days that included an off road experience on the little SV into a cornfield during the Junior Support race, very proud of him keeping it upright 💪💪 and apologies to the farmer!! He then brought it home safely in the Twins race. He finished the weekend with a great spin round the Lightweight race on his own CB500 finishing P11.

Southern 100 up next , taking the MV 🇮🇹🇮🇹 and the SV.

⭐️⭐️Oliver’s Mount - Barry Sheene Festival 20th/21st June 2026⭐️⭐️

No wets required 😁wall to wall sunshine for the whole weekend.

Busy old day on the Saturday with newcomers laps, warm up, qualifying, 2 CSB races and the lightweight race for the 400. 9 lots of tyre warmers on and off apparently 😁

Qualified for the main feature race with the CSB, finishing 6th and had 3 great races on the 400 over the weekend.

Ricky qualified P11 on our Twin, and was having a great run before a mechanical stopped him at Drury’s. He then pulled a win on his own CB500 to make up for it.

Great to see the turnout for Aran’s memorial lap, that was special.

Engine change in the paddock for the Twin on Monday, on the boat from Cairnryan to Belfast yesterday and now setting up at Tandragee.

⭐️⭐️Blackfords Classic Pre TT 22nd/23rd/24th May ⭐️⭐️

First trip of the year to the Isle of Man, this time with the Classic Superbike and John Cliffe’s 400.

Very late checking in for the ferry we somehow managed to be in the front of the queue to board, which was an absolute winner !

Qualified well with the 400 and was really looking forward to the race which was very sadly stopped on lap 2 after the incident with Alan Oversby. Our condolences go to his family and friends, we’d watched him racing the night before and he was in great form. The Classic Superbike race was next out and I had a nice ride round, finishing safely in one of my favourite places in the sunshine.

We had the grandsons with us for their first Isle of Man experience, loving paddock life and being around the bikes.

Next up for us is Oliver’s Mount for the Barry Sheene Meeting followed by a Northern Ireland trip to Tandragee the weekend after.

Love a trip to Northern Ireland with the bikes 🏁🚀. There was a strange thing in the sky that we’ve rarely seen before. We’d packed for all options but didn’t think we’d need sunscreen! 😎

The MV 🇮🇹 qualified P14 for the Senior Support ‘A’ race, had a great start and was running well for most of the race until I ran on at Gortin and dropped right down the order. It is a feisty, finicky beast at the best of times and more so when the weather is warm.

John Cliffe’s little Honda, was feeling great in qualifying and we ended up P6. I was really looking forward to the race, set off on the warm up lap and quickly realised it wasn’t running quite right so pulled in. It will be headed to the dyno early next week while we work out what is up.

Brilliant weekend for Cowton Racing with Bailey & Will both doing a grand job. Daniel Pearson had a winning pit board and Degsy also made the podium. Stand out moment for me was Chris Meyer sharing a podium with MD.

And that was our Cookstown 100 this year. 🏁🏁😁

Next up for us is the Classic Pre TT races in the Isle of Man 🇮🇲

⭐️⭐️Oliver’s Mount Spring Cup 11th & 12th April ⭐️⭐️

Firstly, we need to extend our condolences to the family and friends of Aran Sadler who very sadly passed away due to a racing incident at the circuit on Saturday. Aran has been a huge help to me with the newcomers over the last few years and it has been an absolute pleasure to watch his success on the roads. A real talent taken far too soon. To his fiancé Lorna, we are heartbroken and so sorry for your loss 🥲

With the full support of Aran’s family, the show did go on the following day. I had my own CSB and John Cliffe’s VFR 400 for the Lightweights.

The weather as ever at Oliver’s Mount couldn’t make its mind up - the CSB finished the weekend with a P6 on Saturday, then I ran out of talent at Esses Out in the first race on Sunday and we decided to park it up. The plan for John’s little Honda was just to finish - and we did - all 3 races.! 😁✅

Ricky had a positive first run out with the SV ending the weekend with an 8th in the Twins race.

Cookstown up next, leaving home next Wednesday morning for the drive up to Liverpool for the overnight ferry.
