A message from Lucinda💚
At the heart of everything I teach is one very simple wish.
I want horses to have a really good time.
When I teach a clinic, I may be able to help 20 riders and their horses.
Through XC Week, I hope we can use the magic of online training to reach thousands.
Because when a horse truly loves XC, it is usually because he trusts his rider.
He enjoys the feeling of meeting a question he has not seen before, working it out on the way in and discovering that he can answer it.
That trust does not appear overnight.
It takes time.
It takes thoughtful training.
It takes a rider who helps the horse understand, rather than simply asking him to get to the other side.
And eventually, horse and rider begin to connect in a way that makes XC feel exciting, safe and enjoyable for them both.
That is what I want to help you work towards during XC Week.
My mission is to keep XC the heartbeat of eventing, and my goal is to bring 5,000 riders together to develop horses who trust them, believe in them and enjoy their job.
The private community opens on Sunday 16 August, followed by four live evenings from Monday 17 to Thursday 20 August.
