🥋 The End of an Era
Last night marked the end of an era for Brunel Judo.
After more than 20 years of coaching, I have made the difficult decision to step away from the sport and close the doors to Brunel Judo.
This decision has not been made lightly. Increasing work commitments, exciting new business opportunities and, perhaps most importantly, finally listening to my body have all played a part in helping me reach this decision.
It took me a long time to come to terms with this decision, but having accepted it, I can honestly say I’m excited for the next chapter. I’m looking forward to being Dad, watching and supporting my children from the sidelines rather than from a coaching chair.
Brunel Judo has always been more than just a club. Judo has always been the focus, but for me it’s everything that comes with it, the journey, the adventures, the experiences, the friendships, and seeing the children grow in confidence and discover what they’re capable of, has been the greatest reward.
To every warrior, parent, volunteer, supporter, coach, club and friend who has supported Brunel Judo over the years, thank you! 🙏🏼
Thank you for your support.
Thank you for your friendship.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
This isn’t goodbye to the people, it’s just a goodbye to this chapter.
