Me and my good friend (and biggest competitor..😆) spent a Fantastic weekend of archery competing at the Welsh 3D championships hosted by Pendragon archers and Blaidd archers. We had the best time!!
Both locations are excellent and differ to each other in every way, but both were as challenging as you could hope for.
From the Friday one arrow kill, right to the presentation of medals it seemed to go flawlessly, the courses were very well laid, locations were beautiful, the catering/entertainment by Blaidd’s pizza comedy duo was spot on and the company was great. We had a good group to go around the course with and I was happy to stick with the same people for the second day.
I found day one at Pendragon to be the most deceptive, with a lot of dead ground shots and I dropped more points than I was expecting by making some poor first arrow shots, but managed to increase my score by over 100 points on day two. Unfortunately it was too little too late to come into the running for medals but I had the best time trying. I completed both courses with no blank shots also, which is a great achievement in its self for an unsighted bow..😆 I look forward to going back next year but I’m not sure how they could improve on such great courses and a brilliant event.
Thanks to Elong Outdoor Product Ltd for the sponsorship and for the amazing NIK’A N3 pro carbon limbs.
