We have just TWO spaces remaining on our next RYA Adult Level 2 Dinghy Sailing Course on 27th & 28th July.

If you've completed RYA Level 1 (or have equivalent experience), this course will help you develop the skills and confidence needed to sail independently.

Calm seas, blue skies and some excellent sailing on the Moray Firth today.

Our RYA Adult Level 1 Dinghy Sailing and RYA Multihull Level 1 students made the most of the conditions as they worked on their sailing skills and gained valuable time on the water.

Days like these remind us just how special it is to sail from Findhorn ❤️

We’re having a clear-out at Findhorn Watersports and have a selection of brand-new watersports clothing and accessories available at heavily reduced prices.

Items include:

Many of these items retail for significantly more than our sale prices, so there are some genuine bargains to be had. All items are brand new, with limited sizes and quantities available.

🌅 Friday Evening + Boats + Good Company = Perfect Start to the Weekend 🌅

Our next Friday Night Social Sailing session is on 26th June and we'd love to see you on the water. There are a range of single handed and double handed dinghies available in these sessions, with buoyancy aids included in the cost of the session.

Whether you're looking to brush up your skills, get some extra time in a boat, or simply enjoy an evening sail around Findhorn Bay, this session is for you.

Adults and children welcome, but you must already be able to sail.
6.30pm – 8.30pm

⛵ Good luck to our Dinghy Instructor candidates this week! ⛵

This week we're delighted to be running an RYA Dinghy Instructor course here at Findhorn Watersports, helping the next generation of instructors develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to teach sailing safely and effectively.

Over five intensive days, candidates will be refining their sailing, coaching and communication skills, learning how to deliver enjoyable, structured sessions for sailors of all ages and abilities.

Becoming an RYA Dinghy Instructor is a fantastic qualification for anyone who loves sailing and wants to share their passion with others. Many of our instructors started their journey as young sailors right here in Findhorn!

Please join us in wishing all of our candidates the very best of luck for the week ahead. We look forward to seeing them out on the water and welcoming some new instructors to the sailing community.

WILDLIFE WEDNESDAY

🪿 Did you know? 🪿

Every year, thousands of pink-footed geese make their way to Moray, creating one of the most spectacular wildlife sights in the area. This year apparently saw a record number of 62,000 birds roosting at Findhorn!
If you're out on Findhorn Bay or crossing to Culbin Sands, keep an eye on the skies and shoreline. These remarkable birds migrate from Iceland and Greenland to spend the winter in Scotland, often gathering in impressive flocks that can number in the thousands.

Their distinctive calls and dramatic formations are a reminder that we're lucky to share this beautiful coastline with so much wildlife.
