This year, we are not doing a raffle at our annual awards dinner. Instead we are asking for either physical or cash donations to Cash for Kids which Sophie Blackmore has become a Local Executive Board Member for.
For the first time this year, Cash for Kids had to tell an applicant they couldn't fully fulfil their request.
Not because the need isnβt real, but because the shelves are heartbreakingly empty for ages 9+
The charity has received 20,000+ applications for support through Mission Christmas in the Midlands
9,163 of those are for children aged 9β18.
It's the age group they consistently struggle the most to buy for (it is a hard age to buy for, we get it), and right now, demand is far outstripping the donations they have available.
The team is doing everything they can, but they urgently need help.
If you are able to donate cash to help them fill these gaps, or a gift suitable for a young person aged 9β18, it will make an immediate and meaningful difference.
Items like:
𧴠toiletries sets
π accessories
β½οΈ footballs
𧩠puzzles
π¨ art sets
π§ headphones
or any age-appropriate gifts are all incredibly gratefully received.
Every single donation helps them say βyesβ to a child who would otherwise wake up with nothing to open on Christmas morning.
Very little effort is needed on your part - you can buy a gift on Amazon, or donate some pennies and someone will go and get it for you.
