WASPS HIT 12 EN ROUTE TO LEAGUE CUP FINAL π₯
Our Wasps boys had their long awaited return to League Cup action last Sunday against Hartshill.
A positive start from the lads, Cian Kincaids ball into Kai Buckley was rifled home in the 6th minute, with Kai becoming playmaker moments later allowing Ash Perkins to finish a good run into the box. Lucas Thompson was a danger throughout playing some lovely balls through, one was picked up by Kai in the 11th minute to put the boys 3 up. Kai picked up his hat trick later in the half with a trademark π into the far corner. Churchy bagged a goal with a great finish following some good work by Louie Bates. Alfie Manuel smashed home his first of the day just before the half time whistle.. 6-0 Wasps.
The second half was really impressive from the boys, they could have taken their foot off the gas but maintained an excellent tempo and were first to every ball. Kai set up Alfie who picked up his brace, seconds later saw Louie roll in Kai who finished very well. Wasps no.9 Sebby play a lovely weighted pass through to Kai to bury his 5th of the day. Kai unbelievably picked up his 6th of the day inside 50 minutes with a very confident finish to make it 10. Max βChaddersβ Chadwick worked hard down the right and deserved his goal into the far corner, with Louie Bates picking up yet another assist playing the ball to Ryan Watson who hit a hard and low finish. 12-0 full time.
Man of the match unsurprisingly went to the Wasps no.12 Kai Buckley π₯ Kai was outstanding on the day, 6 goals, 2 assists, absolutely menacing with every touch of the ball. Kai looked every inch the player who bagged the leagues top scorer title last year and has hit form just at the right time π
