Camped on the shores of Windermere ready for a 3k event in the morning at 0745
Two weeks ago I was at Rother valley for British swimmings age group championships and happy with. Silver in 2k and gold in 3k
Something around 70 mins tomorrow would be ok

Wednesday and I’ve been making steady progress this week after park run up with 30 min jog on Monday which was anything but pretty. Legs just not used to it but I’ll get there.
Started practicing songs for the Imperial on Thursday. I’ve not been for a months or so and want to get it right
Two swims on Tuesday for 30 mins each. In both cases I put my hand paddles on and did pull. Shoulders feeling that.
I’ve got my paints out, nothing flash, I’m just enjoying the process of putting paint down. I’m trying my hand with acrylics so I’ll let you know how it goes.
Since I realised I’d have to shelve my channel swimming plans I’ve been comfort eating and put on 5 pounds. Not good at all. So this week I’m really making a huge effort to sort that out.
Today I’m getting my bike out and, if I don’t fall off, will get a short ride in. We all have to start somewhere! Later I’m at Lift for a session with Hannah. How I’m going to miss her!

At the end of the month I’m off to Rother Valley for the national age group open water championships. How I do there will determine one strand of how I go forwards.

Under the hour! That’s faster than my fastest hour swim in the pool back in January! Only 10 mins behind a swimmer 10 years younger than me! Life in the old man yet!
