Weekends results started on Saturday as the firsts travelled to Murton and after winning the toss skipper Kev elected to bowl. Some good pieces of bowling from the lads with Alex, Kev and Gilly being the standouts restricted Murton to 134 after 45 overs. In reply the lads were in control with Adam putting on a great 68* and Ryan seeing it home with him with 26*.

Seconds hosted Belmont down at Mainsforth who like the firsts bowled first. Some good spells from Chris, skipper Jow, Alfie and George saw Belmont restricted to 124 after their 40 overs. The lads looked comfortable in the chase with Chris posting 45* and Zak 38 winning by 7 wickets.

Sunday saw the David Greener cup finals day take place at Crook where Jow won the toss and elected to bowl. Crook were restricted to 115 all out with Jow, Chris and Zak taking the wickets. In reply the lads ultimately fell agonisingly close falling 6 short of the total.

Team news for the weekend which sees the first team travel to Murton on Saturday whilst the seconds host Belmont down at Mainsforth. Bar will be open at 12:30🍺

Sunday sees the seconds make the journey to Crook for the David Greener Cup finals day where they will play the second semi final starting at 1pm vs hosts Crook.

A great Saturday for the club with both teams bringing home the wins. Firsts hosted Wearmouth and bowled first with a strong bowling display bowled Wearmouth out for 64 with Tom and Gilly being the pick of the bowlers. In reply Harry and Alex batted through and saw the win home without loss.

The seconds travelled to Murton who also bowled first with another good bowling display with George, Chris and Toby the pick of the bowlers saw Murton out for 69. Mainsforth knocked the total off 2 down with Aidan top scoring.

Tomorrow sees the Vinton Trophy finals day down at Mainsforth with the firsts team news below. Bar will be open from 9:30am. Get down for a few beers and to support the lads🍺

Team news out for Saturdays fixtures which sees the firsts host Wearmouth down at Mainsforth whilst the seconds make the journey to Murton. Bar open down Mainsforth for 12:30.

Team news for Sundays finals day to come soon. Bar will be open from 9:30am Sunday morning for a action packed day of cricket🍺

Weekend full of cricket down at Mainsforth. Saturday sees the firsts host Wearmouth & YAV whilst the seconds travel to Murton. Bar open at 12:30.

Sunday sees the Vinton Trophy finals day down at Mainsforth which sees Evenwood vs Horden starting at 10am. The firsts play East Rainton which starts at 1pm with the final starting at roughly 4:30pm. Bar will be open at 9:30 so if you’re looking for something to do get down and support the lads with a few beers🍺🍺.

Team news out for Saturdays game which only sees the first team as they head up to Silksworth looking to continue their recent form up. No game down at Mainsforth this week with the seconds having a free week.

Great day for the club yesterday with both teams bringing home the wins. Firsts hosted Bill Quay and with Bill Quay batting first Mainsforth bowled well with Danny, Kev and Fuller taking the wickets with a special episode of ten pin bowling from Fuller. In reply Mainsforth looked comfortable knocking the total off one down with Harry reaching 48*.

The seconds travelled to Ushaw Moor in a top of the table clash. Mainsforth batted first and were 51/6 when Chris and Arron steadied the ship with two great 50s to end up on 174. In reply some good bowling from Jow and Zak saw the lads defend the total with Ushaw Moor falling 7 short.

Team news is here for Saturday where the firsts look to continue their form after last weeks win as they host Bill Quay whilst the seconds look to bounce back in a top of the table clash away to Ushaw Moor.

Another mixed Saturday for the club whilst Sunday was cancelled to rain. The firsts made the journey up to East Rainton and after losing the toss they were sent out to bowl. East Rainton posted 197/6 with Danny topping the bowling with a good spell. In reply, some vital knocks from skipper Ryan and Alex Cole saw the lads bring the victory back to Mainsforth by 4 wickets with 2 balls to spare.

Down at Mainsforth the seconds hosted Tantobie who also bowled first after losing the toss. A solid bowling performance with Zak, Kieren and Toby restricting Tantobie to 119/7. Unfortunately the lads couldn’t get going and fell short by 6 runs.

Sunday in the Cliff Jones Finals Day saw no cricket played due to the weather. A rearranged date is to be scheduled.

Busy weekend for the club. Saturday, The firsts travel to East Rainton looking to bounce back from last week whilst the seconds host Tantobie looking to continue their form.

Sunday sees the Cliff Jones Finals Day for the first team up at Ryhope where they face Washington in the first semi final staring at 10AM.
