🚨 FC Pontefract – Club Statement 🚨

Following a recent social media post, we feel it is important to address this and reaffirm our club values.

At FC Pontefract, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all players, coaches, and families involved in our club.

We want to make it absolutely clear that we do not tolerate any form of bullying, threatening behaviour, or abuse — from players, coaches, or parents.

Football is about development, teamwork, and respect. Any behaviour that goes against these values will not be accepted.

Any incidents reported will be taken seriously and will be dealt with by our Child Welfare Officers through the appropriate and official channels.

We ask everyone involved with the club to uphold the standards and values we stand for, both on and off the pitch.

Together, we create the right environment for our players to enjoy, develop, and succeed.

In Memory of Oliver Hurd 🩵
We are a children’s cancer charity funding research into finding more targeted and less harsh treatments for the childhood solid tumour, Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS). So far, we’ve invested in 13 RMS research projects at leading UK institutions.
The UK Arcs
The Arcs is a place where families and their communities can honour a child or young person’s journey with rhabdomyosarcoma — to fundraise, advocate, and show the difference they’re making.
Together, families can unite. Funds can be pooled towards the most meaningful research, and voices can combine to strengthen our message and drive change.
The 3 Peaks Challenge
I (Blake’s dad) will be taking on the full 3 Peaks Challenge — and anyone who fancies joining me is more than welcome.
Blake will be there too and will take on at least the final peak. We’re not yet sure if it’ll be manageable for him to do more, but we’ll look into it properly and make sure whatever he does is right for him.
We’ll be setting up a fundraising page very soon. For now, I just wanted to put it out there and see who would be interested in taking on the challenge for a cause that means so much to our family.
Blake has always said he wanted to do something special to raise money for all the children — past and present — going through this same journey. We couldn’t think of a better time than to mark his 10-year clear milestone by doing exactly that.
If you’d like to be added to the list, drop me a message and I’ll keep you updated as plans come together.
