Great day for it, we had Sarah booking a Family group for her husbands birthday, I think Matthew won, but seeing the faces of the children when they smashed the target was magic- glad the weather was on our side- a brilliant day

Well what a lovely way to see in the New Year, and blast the cobwebs away
On a lovely crisp winters day
Who Said it’s not competitive amongst friends
So Kurt is champion for 2026, in a close shoot, and of course someone has to be “Sh*tshot”
Glad you all enjoyed, thanks for photos
See you next year 😎

Well done to John and the Boys up for a Christmas shoot- Weather not the greatest, but it didn’t dampen the spirits
Competition was fairly tight at the top , but Dan took the Win
And rather that shoot off for last we had joint Shot Shots - well it’s Christmas

Well yes We had a Taster session out Saturday Morning, in absolutely horrible conditions - I watched through the window😂
Bit of a stag/ retirement - what can I say they had a brilliant time - like the one said - what would you expect when you book the top of a Welsh mountain in November - I’m not certain who won the trophy - but did it matter - well done boys - hope you had a drier night in Cardiff
Feel free to post your photos and videos on here

What a lovely day to learn to shoot clays
Cracking idea for doing something together, where the competition is a level field
Well done guys, I know you enjoyed and will be good to see you on your next session

Well two lots of Taster sessions up today , we avoided the bad rain forecast but we did have a cold wind while we were shooting that made the cuppa and log fire all the more welcome at the end
Gareth and his father had a session- his father said he had shot a rifle 60 years before I think he was a secret sniper as he hit some lovely targets and I think he might have edged out Gareth
Then Chris and his friend were the other pair and I think it was honours even as they they both liked a different stand and shared the last

Well done guys , some excellent shooting - and kept smiling on that incomer, when we were face into the wind
Scores I don’t know smiles - loads

Quite a few groups and tasters up lately, lots of laughed and smiles, also a lot of ladies trying it out, a few got to grips with it and hit a lot of clays, and some didn’t but still smiled
I apologise as I havnt been taking enough photos, and I’ve missed a lot , so if anyone has any please feel free to add them or tag us
And I know it’s only October, but I have started having some group bookings for Christmas- so if you fancy a works do or something a bit different - give us a shout

Some of this weekend We had Josh and the boys from Berkshire - with Callum managing to win the trophy ( he was wearing tweed 😂) Jamie winning in sudden death shoot off to avoid “Sh*tshot”
Tom from W. Yorkshire meeting up with the other travellers
Gabby and Ryan - Gabby definitely took the win
I missed Ryan Bevans. Group photos, also missed Chrissy and Emma, but I know Chrissy took some as sh ( eventually) had one of Emma smashing a target
Thanks all

First Ladies Day at Ferndale Shooting Club for the Queen of the Valleys 50 and the Femme Fatale 25

Could there have been more Ladies - Yes
But we had a lot of new to shooting Ladies from 10 to let’s say over 21 😂
And some ladies that shoot but not regularly ( but have promised to change)
We had lots of smiles and laughs- the prosecco flowed, and who knew I liked Vol au Vents
Hopefully we have increased the number of Ladies involved in Shooting in Wales
It has to be one of the best sports for equality and level playing field , just need to increase the numbers in the sport
The Queen of the Valleys 50 was won by Claire Bagehot very closely followed by Martine Gun
The Femme Fatale 25 was won by Lisa Monks just ahead of several other shooters
The try it stands were ful with ladies from 10 to let’s say just over 21
Thank you all for your support Ladies
With thanks to the members of Ferndale Shooting club for helping out
And Massive Thanks to sponsors
Blue Water Recruitment ( Gary Monk) and Diva Tails Bespoke Jewellery ( Vicky Semple)

Ladies keep your eye out for our next event - let’s get more Ladies in our sport
