2 weeks away, indulging in my favourite holiday foods & drinks, with limited training, out of routine and mostly lying on a sunbed all day - just what I love about a holiday π
But that can leave you feeling a little softer around the middle, a little less energetic, and like you need to do something drastic when you get back.
But you don't!
I will not be:
β’ Starting a detox diet
β’ Cutting out carbs (or any other food group)
β’ Pushing to extremes in the gym
β’ Training everyday to make it up
β’ Skipping meals
I will just focus on getting back to my normal routine including
- a daily walk outside
- 2 or 3 strength sessions, starting a bit lighter
- prioritising protein at every meal (25-30g)
- my usual bedtime schedule
- limited alcohol
And even this feels harder than usual as it's the summer holidays + a heatwave.
You don't need to 'make up' for holiday indulgence, just accept they need to come to an end and get back to normal healthy lifestyle habits without adding extreme measures.
βοΈ Enjoy your holidays without guilt and just get back to normal when you return.
