A week to be proud of for Makeaball Tennis Academy, and a reminder how unbelievably lucky we are at Felixstowe lawn tennis club to have the team at our club. Well done and thank you to everyone involved. 🎾🏆👍🏻

WHAT A WEEK FOR MTA! 💙🎾🏆

Sometimes you have weeks that remind you just how special this sport can be… and this has definitely been one of them.

🏆 Evelyn – Grade 4 10U Singles Champion
🏆 Justice – Framlingham Open Ladies’ Singles Champion
🏆 Matt – 8th Suffolk Closed Men’s Singles title
⬆️ Matt & Team Suffolk – promoted to Division One at the Over 35s County Cup

Four brilliant achievements, but perhaps what makes this week particularly special is that they all represent different chapters of a tennis journey.

Evelyn is right at the beginning of hers — getting out there, competing, learning and starting to experience the excitement of tournament tennis.

Justice has already experienced so much in the sport, stepped away from competition for a while and is now writing a new chapter — training hard, putting herself back out there and enjoying competing again.

And then there’s Head Coach Matt… proof that the journey doesn’t have to stop! 😂 Still getting out there and competing, still representing Suffolk and still loving the challenge of getting out on court.

Different ages. Different experiences. Different goals. The same love of tennis. 💙

That’s what MTA is all about. Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time, chasing your next goal, returning to the sport or still competing years down the line, there’s always another chapter to write.

What a week. Proud is an understatement. 💙🎾

🏆 more success for our club members at Framlingham Tennis Tournament. Justice Hall takes home the ladies open title. Well done Justice from everyone at the club 🎾

🏆Huge well done to our head coach Matt Hough, winning the Suffolk men’s title today. A really tight match, played in great spirit. It was fantastic to see so many members young and older (!) cheer Matt on today. The club is extremely proud. 🎾

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️A massive good luck to our head coach Matt Hough Makeaball Tennis Academy who is running his third London marathon in a row this morning. Running for Dementia UK, over the last 3 years Matt as raised an incredible amount of money an awareness for the charity. Everyone at the club is incredible proud of Matt and wish him all the best out there today 🏃‍♂️🎾

We are super proud to announce we won ‘Tournament of the Year 2025’ Awarded at the Suffolk LTA Awards on Sunday . The 96th Neil Songer Felixstowe Junior & Open Tournament will be on 17th to 22nd August 2026.
