Does your weight loss goal seem so far away, it defeats you before even getting started?

Perhaps you want to lose 3 stone up.

But even losing a few pounds seems like hard work - “How on earth am I going to lose 3 stone”

Now I get it.

The Clients we’ve worked with who have lost 4,5,6,7 stone, never thought it would be a easy journey, and in fact they felt the struggle of starting when the end goal seems so far away.

However there’s a few keys to making this more manageable

1- Break your long term goal into smaller 30 day goals.

Opposed to thinking “I want to lose 3 stone” think about, where do you want to be in the next 3 days? That could be 1/2 stone off for example.

Losing 7 pounds seems far more achievable that 3 stone.

2- Focus on the ‘process’

What is actually needed to start reaching your goals?

Is it a certain amount of workouts per week? A number of steps per day? Consistency with nutrition?

By focusing on the actual process, removes constant ‘thought’ of the end goal, however that outcome becomes a byproduct of what you are following.

3- Setting mini milestones

We’ve taken several clients to cross the 100lb loss mark, and we never once thought about losing 100lb, but more so, losing 1lb 100 times. Every pound lost is a nudge in the right direction, and feels like an achievement, which keeps the momentum heading in the right direction.

4- Have a road Map in place.

Simply knowing where you should be at certain points can help hugely with clear direction. How much weight should you be aiming to lose per week, per month, per 3 months? Knowing this, can act as a pacer, which gives the clarity behind where you should be.

Often people walk into big goals completely blind, and just cross their fingers, which often causes overwhelm.

However by breaking things down, setting small 30 day goals, focusing on the process, and setting mini milestones can help hugely with long term results.

One thing thats guaranteed to slow down your weight loss….

Going at it alone.

I totally understand wanting to give it a go on your own, but you’ll soon  be walking into overwhelm, frustration, feeling deflated, disheartened, and ultimately, taking longer to reach your goal, than is actually needed.

But I get why.

Of course, you are going to “see if you can do this by yourself”

And I don’t blame you thinking the way.

However, I spend hours consulting new clients who come to me, disheartened, unhappy, unconfident, and uncomfortable with the Health, Fitness, and Body image, and they ALL have 1 thing in common.

Coming off the back of “Trying to lose weight by themselves”

I’ll tell you - It’s hard doing it alone. (We’ve coached one 400 clients who’s told us how much they’ve struggled before)

-Conflicting information
-Misleading advice
-No accountability
-Lack of Support
-Zero direction

There’s no surprised people spend months, if not years, seeing little to no progress with their weight loss, feeling stuck in the same ‘diet cycle’ getting nowhere.

“I wish I was confident enough to take my starting photos in shorts/underwear, instead of leggings, but that just shows how I was feeling about my body.

I’ve always dieted before, where Chocolate was known as “bad” or a “syn”, however when you are smart with foods choices, it’s easy to factor in”

approached me last year, after what she could only explain as a never ending diet - she had tried numerous times before, but didn’t get anywhere.

She had always struggled with the “diet” element of getting in shape. She’d heavily restrict herself from the foods she loves, an then overindulge on all the things she “banned from her diet”

Jacqueline finally thought “enough is enough” and was fed up with struggling to lose weight, and desperately wanting to get into a shape she was happy, comfortable and confident with, opposed to constantly hiding herself in her clothes.

With Jacqueline, she always found herself on this all or nothing cycle, and really struggled with the stability of her approach - It was either restricting the foods she loves, Or, over indulging, and it’s this we helped her break away from.

Through educating her around the principles of food, what exactly she had to be following to be losing body fat, and shaping her body, WHILE, still eating the foods she loves, was key - and its a balance a lot of people struggle with.

We looked at her existing food choices, and re created this approach that was still leaving her:

-Sticking within a calorie range
-Hitting sufficient protein
-Enjoying her foods
-Managing hunger

And its this that has lead Jacqueline to find a new sense of regained Body confidence, developed a strong understand of Nutrition, learnt to love exercise again, and created a body she is proud of.

Restriction is a short term solution - Building Healthy, long term habits, is what will create results for life.

You’ve probably told yourself, you’re going to.

-“Cut out bread”.

-”Avoid Chocolate”

-“Stop eating late at night”

-“Ditch the Takeaways”.

And sure, it make help short term, with the reduction in Calories, but the likelihood is, you wont be cutting out break, avoiding chocolate, not eating late at night, or ditching takeaway forever.

So then what happens?

Your will power starts crumbling

You are back to square 1, and are on the hunt for the next approach to try.

Weight loss doesn’t have to be Chicken and green veg 3 x per day.

It’s unrealistic, and unnecessary.

Within our 1:1. Coaching, we use a few flexibility systems that allow for the foods you love, within moderation

That allow for the chocolate, while watching Netflix.

Or the glass of wine in front of the fire in a pub on a Fridays night.

That allow you to eat at social occasions, opposed to avoiding food.

We teach our clients how they can make their food choices independently, still include the foods they love, and drop weight, almost effortlessly.

It doesn’t need to be restriction, avoidance, and miserable eating.

You can definitely eat there foods you actually choose to eat, and reach your dream weight loss goals.

wanted to become the happiest should could possible be, with her body image, and how she felt in clothes.

She didn’t want the worry of “is this my good side” in photos, or how her clothes fit.

The issue Laura faced, was she was STUCK

She had been in the exact same place for the last year, yet didn’t really know what to do differently.

Eating relatively well

Exercising often, but not seeing the changes to her body and confidence she wanted.

After speaking with Laura initially, she’d be really “on track” for a few weeks, have a slight wobble, then have to keep “re starting every Monday

And continuing the “stop > start” cycle, was slamming on the breaks with her progress

She needed momentum, and she needed consistency with her approach, to take her confidence, mindset and physique to the next level.

For a lot of people, the biggest challenge is first reaching out for help....⁣

I remember Harry telling me, he didn’t want to answer the call, when we first had our initial consultation as he was so self conscious.⁣

He was so worried about asking for help, he’d been putting it off for months, and resulting him just holding himself where he was.⁣

-Unhappy.⁣
-Zero confidence ⁣
-Over weight⁣
-Poor body image⁣
-Bad eating habits⁣

And didn’t know what to do about it.⁣

He KNEW he had to change, but didn’t know what direction to take.⁣

And the overwhelm of all the advice he got told before, just left him not doing anything at all.⁣

Everyday Harry work up, simply looking at himself in the mirror left himself feeling deflated, and unenthusiastic about the day ahead⁣

He wanted to wake up, start the day on the right foot, and that all came from what looked back at him in the mirror.⁣

, had a long list of goals she wanted to to achieve prior to working with me, however stuck in the cycle of starting every Monday, started to bring her down, and deflated, as she wasn’t getting anywhere, which lead her to get in touch with me.

She wanted to be able to:

-Improve her mental and physical health
-Feel happier looking in the mirror
-Fit back into her old clothes, that are now too tight
-Throw on any pair of jeans and not worry about how they look
-And be able to put on a Bikini and feel super happy.

However the lack of direction, structure, education, support, and accountability lead her to only get 1-2 weeks down the line, and “fall off track” again.

She’d have the time of being “really good” but just couldn’t sustain it long term, and bad habits crept back in.

It was clear of Charlotte position.

-She didn’t have a plan to follow, she use to just “wing it” and hope for the best.

-She Wasn’t educated, and didn’t know what the “right” approach for her was

-She had no accountability, so, it was only her who knew if she went off track, without anyone else too report to.

For me, with clients, is simply to assess their situation, and fill in the missing gaps.

In charlotte’s, case, it was to provide her a clear plan of exactly what to do

To educate her, on how she could still socialise and make progress

To have accountability, so she had more urgency, and purpose behind what she was following.

And, in short, provides all the tools and resources, to move her closer to where she wants to be.

As a result, over the past 3 months, while Charlotte’s not finished her journey, she’s happier, more confident, her clothes fit better, she can look in the mirror and not cringe, and ultimately, wake up feeling happy with how she looks.

.h.morris had always been involved in the Gym, going for runs and working out, but, she always struggled to ‘look’ the way she wanted.

She wanted the lean, toned, athletic, looking body, yet was struggling with getting there alone.

Sure she was running regularly, however always lacked the level of education and direction she needed to really compliment her goals.

The reality is, doing the same thing over and over again, is comfortable.

Not making any changes to your Nutrition, is comfortable.

Doing the same workouts each week, is comfortable.

Going at it alone, and having only yourself to answer to, is comfortable

But comfortable, wasn’t getting Hannah anywhere and actually holding herself, uncomfortable in her image.

After joining our Coaching programme, it was clear Hannah just needed a few things.

-A clear strategy in place of what to do

-High level accountability

-Strong support

-Further education

And funnily enough, it’s what we build the core of our coaching around.

Teaching Hannah about how to maximise the time spent working out, and how to progress herself with getting stronger, to help with adding shape, and tone to her body.

Understanding about Nutrition, to leave her confident with how she could still fuel her body, but lose stubborn fat at the same time.

And having the ‘extra pair of eyes’ watch over her to ensure she stays on the straight and narrow with making progress..

Sometimes you’ve got to get away from whats just ‘comfortable’ be honest with yourself and think about whats going to get you the results you are looking for, in the fastest, most effective way possible.

Hannah ‘could’ have stayed muddling though on her own.

But she’d probably still be where she started.

Fortunately, she decided to take the plunge and safe to say, she’s not looked back.
