A quick result update from a wet weekend of racing at Brands Hatch in the Thunderbike Sport Class...

First time ever riding the bike prepared by the chaps at Tea Time Racing and I managed to stick it on the podium in bloody awful conditions!

Qualifying: P4 (P3 in class)
Race 1: P4
Race 2: DNF (wet setting were left in bike so I decided to come in)
Race 3: P7 (P5 in class from the back of the grid)
Race 4: P3 (P2 in class)

A huge thanks to Alex Milne for working nonstop all weekend to prepare both the Yamaha R6 and the Minitwin.

Also to Mark Gillam for getting the R6 suspension dialled in.

Finally to Pass Bike Motorcycle Training School for fixing the Minitwin in time for the weekend.

Brands Hatch hosts club-level motorcycle racing for the final time in 2020 when the BMCRC-MRO Club Bike Championships visit Kent this weekend (3-4 October).

It has been a strange year, with the suspension of Racing due to Covid. It’s also been an absolute pleasure working with BD Racing UK.
In a mutual agreement, I have decided to step away from the Team to run my own R6 within the Thunderbike Sport Class; and also my Minitwin within the MRO’s.

This gives the Team space to embrace and mentor another Rider within the BD Racing UK Stable during the 2021 Season.

Ian and the Team work hard and their passion for Motorcycle Racing is extraordinary. It has been an absolute pleasure being part of BD Racing UK and I thank the Team for all their support, both on and off the Track.
See you all at Brands for the final round and I would like to wish Ian, and the Team all the best for the Future.
