TSKA Whitstable and Faversham Karate Club

The annual TSKA residential course took place over three days (Saturday - Monday) last weekend. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond the TSKA's control, the event took place a month later than usual this year & as a result, attendance was lower than usual. However, the event was a great success with varied instruction in the three 'K's (kihon, kata & kumite) & lots of effort & enthusiasm from the attendees. The Saturday night party was a great social event not to be missed.

Next year's resi is planned for 15-17th May 2027, back in its usual May slot. This is a great weekend for all the family, not just those training, so get the dates in your diaries & as a club, let's get behind this with a good club turnout ! Oss ! 🥋👊👍

Just a reminder that there is no training at the Whitstable dojo next Monday 15th June due to the annual TSKA residential course. Training is on as normal tomorrow at Faversham.

Well done to everyone who attended today's course and grading, some excellent progress being made by those who graded today, keep up the good work.
The mixed format for the kihon worked really well today, and finally, thank ypu to those seniors who helped the juniors with fine tuning their kata.., Oss

Good morning Folks,

with just a week to go before Sundays course and grading, just an update. Sadly chief Instructor Peter Manning Sensei 8th Dan, won't be able to make the course due to a sports injury, we are hoping to get something in the diary for later in the year, watch this space.
We are still planning to run a training session for all members to attend from 1.30pm to 3.00pm this is a must for all those wishing to grade, all the elements of basics will be covered in the opening session, leaving the Kata and Kumite elements to be run from 3.00pm onwards.
Grading forms will need to be returned as soon as possible, I can e:mail a copy if you DM me via whatsapp.

All Monday students are invited to attend Faversham on Thursday free of charge and Thursday student are very welcome to come to Whitstable this evening for that extra session free of charge..
