As many of you will be aware, the end of the F1 in Schools HQ 2023 World Finals in Singapore marks the final chapter of Eclipse’s story, bringing our time as a team to a close. 🏁

We decided to give the competition one final shot this season and we have no regrets. We won our third regional finals, and were crowned UK National Champions. At the biggest ever World Finals in Singapore we placed 6th overall, had the third-best engineered car in the world and received 2 award nominations. Although disappointed not to be on the podium, we are still proud of all of our achievements, and gained so many valuable experiences along the way and unforgettable memories.

While it may not have been the ending we always dreamed of, these achievements fill us with immense pride. Our journey was about more than just winning; it was about leaving a legacy by promoting STEM and F1 in Schools and we are incredibly happy to be able to look back and see the impact we had on our community. 🌍

It will undoubtedly feel strange not having F1 in Schools as a daily part of our lives, but we are confident we will return in some capacity, most likely as competition judges. It has been an incredible journey and we appreciate all the support we have had to make it all possible. We cannot thank all of our partners enough, especially BAE Systems Electronic Systems who have been there from the very beginning as our platinum partner.

Our last piece of advice to anyone considering being part of this competition, please do not hesitate - just do it! Dreams really do come true and you will gain life skills and memories that will be with you forever 🚀💭

Day 8 of the F1 in Schools HQ 2023 World Finals:

Wow, what an incredible experience! 🏁 Thank you to F1 in Schools HQ for making a dream come true (amongst many others) by allowing us to visit the paddock today at the Singapore Grand Prix. 💭🏎️

Meeting legends like Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Daniel Riccardo, Toto Wolff, Jock Clear, Martin Brundle, Adrian Newey and even many more as well as getting autographs from most of them on our World Finals car was mind blowing. 🤯

Huge thanks to UK in Singapore for hosting us at the British High Commission in Singapore earlier today. We had a fantastic time sharing experiences of F1 in Schools with fellow teams from across the United Kingdom. 🇬🇧

Today has been unforgettable and we will keep the memories with us for the rest of our lives, so thanks again to F1 in Schools HQ. Anyone considering entering the competition reading this, don’t hesitate - just do it! Dreams come true 🚀💭

Day 5/6 of the 2023 World Finals:

It was the 2023 World Finals awards ceremony last night bringing the competition to a close for the 68 competing teams from across the globe.

Although we are obviously disappointed to not come away with any silverware, we did come 6th overall, had the 3rd best engineered car and were nominated for two further awards in verbal presentation and team identity at the biggest World Finals in history.

This is a huge achievement when you look at the standard of work produced by all the competing teams. After four years we are happy to leave the competition knowing we tried our very best.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our partners, community, friends and family as we could not have done this without you.

In the following weeks we will release our final highlights video to say goodbye to the competition, it’s been unforgettable. For now, here are some photos of us during the pit lane walk and the final day of the World Finals.

Day 5 of the 2023 World Finals:

Really happy to have come away from our feedback sessions for all project elements with a smile. It was another fantastic day and although we didn't make it far in the knockout competition, we seeded 18th out of all teams and made it to the second round against tough competition.

It was great to speak to both and during the competition about our experience of the event and sustainability. Thanks to everyone who visited our pit display during day 5 and we look forward to seeing how the awards ceremony goes this evening.

Wow, what an experience day 3 in Singapore has been! The first day of competition judging was great and although the car didn't perform quite as well as we would have liked, we are delighted to announce that it was fully compliant and consistent.

Looking forward to the last day of judging and more races to come.

Thank you all for the fantastic support, it is great knowing there are so many people cheering us on!

Day 2 at the 2023 World Finals:

Fantastic start to the event! We managed to set up our pit display in time and we are all happy with the final outcome. Huge thanks to WH Skinner and for making this all possible.

We also managed to visit Gardens by the Bay outside Sentosa in the morning and really enjoyed visiting the local area.

Day 1 at the 2023 World Finals:

We have now arrived at the World Finals in Singapore and are all excited to be competing over the following week. Despite that, it was a really long journey, having arrived at the airport in London at 5AM (BST) and to the hotel in Singapore at 5AM (UTC+8) which felt like forever. Thankfully, all luggage including our pit display arrived intact and ready for setup on day 2.

Great to have met so many teams already, good luck to all competing teams!
