A message from the chairman:
Congratulations to you and us.

Last night at the Kent FA County Awards - The Faversham & District Youth Football League was crowned the Grassroots League of the Year!

A fantastic achievement and well deserved.

I would like to say a huge thank you to every member of our committee from last season - without them, this would not have been possible.

Karlie Ransley
Raisa Dodge
Dave McGovarin
Paul Ireton
Phil Adams
Adam Ransley

And also, to all of our Member Clubs - You do the hard work. Getting players and coaches registered, teams organised and the never-ending list of jobs required to run your clubs. Massive respect!

Despite a modest celebration last night, progress on sorting the divisions this morning has also been modest... I'm blaming the heat. ;)

We will be sending out drafts of the divisions tomorrow - this will include Saturday and Sunday Published Age Groups only.

Please note - there will be a short period for review before we commit to adding them on Full Time.

Unpublished age groups - U7-11 Saturday will be coming next weekend.

Thank you for your patience.

Onwards and Upwards!

Craig Perrott
FDYFL Chair

This summer, the FDYFL was proud to support two of our member clubs in hosting a 3v3 tester session.

The aim was simple: to help parents and coaches see how 3v3 can work in practice, and to show that while change can feel a little daunting, it can also be a very positive step forward for our youngest players.

Dawes Hernhill Herons FC invited their good friends from Faversham StrikeForce for a morning of 3v3 action. The feedback from coaches and parents was extremely positive - but, most importantly, the children gave it a double thumbs-up!

We absolutely love this video. Great work, Herons!

Matt Adlem, Club Secretary, said:

“Like many clubs, we’ve been struggling with the incoming changes for Under 7s. So we thought we’d jump straight in and give it a go - and it was brilliant! The children really enjoyed themselves. There was clearly more involvement from all players and, thanks to the support of the FDYFL and their guidance around matchdays, we are confident of a fantastic season ahead.”

The FDYFL now has 19 teams signed up for our inaugural 3v3 season. Without the use of a centralised venue, we will be relying on our clubs to work together and help make this a real success.

Clubs across East Kent have already played their part, and we have received plenty of encouraging feedback. A special mention to Ramsgate FC and Dover Rangers, who have backed this initiative from the very beginning.

It is all about more touches, more involvement, more confidence - and, above all, more enjoyment for the children.

Onwards and upwards!

PASS THE BOOTS 2026–27♻️

Meet our teams for this upcoming season taking part in our Pass the Boots campaign, supported by Midas Waste. 👏

These teams are championing sustainability within their clubs, giving outgrown, worn but still wearable football boots a second life. They’re helping more people play the beautiful game while reducing unnecessary landfill waste.

A big thank you to these clubs for standing with us. We look forward to supporting you on this journey. 💚
