Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how much time we spend on our phones.
Not just the obvious stuff like scrolling or replying to messages, but the constant background presence… the way it pulls attention and gradually becomes part of our routine without us ever really choosing it.
It’s made me question how that affects things beyond just “screen time.”
Focus. Recovery. Conversations. Even training.
We talk a lot about physical health, movement, nutrition, sleep but rarely about where our attention is going all day, every day. The truth is, attention shapes behaviour. Behaviour shapes results.
So I’ve decided to take a bit of a step back.
Be more intentional with when I use my phone, when I don’t, and just see what changes.
A bit more space to think, train, and actually be present.
…
That said, this has all come at a very convenient time, because I’ve also broken my phone.
So if you need me, I’ll be on Facebook Messenger for now 👍
