Don't know if you are aware they are planning on closing the swimming pool on a Monday night,Thursday night and a Saturday afternoon. It is being kept quiet with only a small survey in the centre asking about pool use. The management don’t want to staff it. Mondays and Thursdays are swimming lesson days so this will have a big effect on any kids who go and also their use of the pool on future. it needs to be put out there.

Maybe Scotland will follow on soon!!

The PM announced this afternoon that the one-metre rule restrictions could be ‘legally’ removed in England from 19th July, and it will then be down to individual businesses/organisations to sensibly decide, risk-assess, how they mandate restrictions moving forward.

For our members in England this is such positive news – we are hopefully one step closer to getting back to some form of normality. However, it will still be vitally important to remember what we have learned over the last 16 months, and be mindful that COVID is still here – therefore we will need to consider what measures we should keep in place after the 19th, if all goes to plan, particularly in relation to hygiene and cleaning for example.

We will wait for the final confirmation announcement from the government on the 12th July, and will provide updated guidance for our members thereafter.

Unfortunately at this time I cannot update or give any such date as to when or if Swim121 will return.
Due to restrictions and ongoing Health & Safety guidance things are proving a little difficult.

I understand this is frustrating but I shall update when possible.

This brings me great frustration and sadness.
