As the curtain falls on another memorable campaign, Farnsfield Villa can reflect on a season full of progress, commitment, and plenty of positives both on and off the pitch.

The First Team secured an impressive 4th-place finish in the Premier Division whilst completing a 13 game unbeaten streak, they also reached a semi-final, narrowly missing out on the opportunity for silverware in what proved to be a highly competitive season.

Meanwhile, the Farnsfield Villa Stagiaires continued to show their development, freshness and determination with a welcome influx of new players, finishing 6th in Division Two and suffering a narrow defeat in their own semi-final appearance.

With new management teams, a host of new players, and fresh ideas throughout the club, this season has laid strong foundations for the future. There is already excitement building ahead of pre-season training, with new arrivals expected to increase competition for places, raise standards even further, and push the club on to the next level.

A huge thank you goes to all of our sponsors, backroom staff, volunteers, and players for everything they have contributed throughout the season. Your support, hard work, and commitment continue to drive the club forward.

And as always — Farny are a massive club.

The club’s Presentation Night will take place at The Plough on 27th June, where players, staff, and supporters will come together to celebrate the season before watching England in the World Cup.

Here’s to another successful year for Farnsfield Villa — and an even bigger one ahead.

🦌 Bramley Apple 1-6 Farnsfield Villa Stags

Farnsfield produced a dominant second-half display to secure an emphatic 6-1 victory away at Bramley Apple at the Arthur Radford Memorial Ground.

The visitors got off to the perfect start when Nick Westerman opened the scoring, coolly converting after an excellent through ball from Liam Gleeson split the Bramley defence.

Bramley responded quickly, equalising just five minutes later from the penalty spot with a well-taken spot kick.

The score remained level at 1-1 going into half-time, with Farnsfield applying plenty of pressure but Bramley defending resolutely to keep themselves in the contest.

Farnsfield came out flying after the break and regained the lead early in the second half through James Branton, who continued his fine form by netting his second goal in as many days.

That opened the floodgates for the visitors. Si Ratcliffe made it 3-1 with a superb header from a well-delivered corner, before Oli Cole calmly slotted home to extend the advantage and claim his second goal in two days.

Liam Gleeson then got on the scoresheet himself with arguably the goal of the game, curling a wicked effort into the bottom corner from distance.

The scoring was rounded off by Sam DeBarr, who rifled a fierce drive into the bottom corner to complete an excellent team performance.

A brilliant all-round display from Farnsfield, with a clinical second-half performance sealing a deserved three points.

A proper end-to-end battle that finished all square.
The lads controlled large spells of the game and looked on course to get the job done, only for a late equaliser to deny all three points.

Our final away trip of the season saw the boys arrive in good spirits after the bus journey… with plenty of beers on board 🍻🚌

Plenty of positives to take, but attention now turns to Wednesday night as we go again at Brinkley—against Walesby once more.

🦌 Farnsfield Villa Stags 0-5 Witham Wanderers

A tough day at the office saw stags lose 0-5 in their final home match of the season.

Stags started brightly but found themselves behind after 20 mins due to lapses in concentration allowing Witham to convert from a cross.

Witham got a 2nd after the stags failed to deal with a long ball into the box.

Soon after James Nussey got was brielfy knocked unconcious in an arial better and ended up heading to A&E with concussion.

The 2nd half started in a poor manner for the stags as they conceded 2 further goals in quick succession. A bad afternoon at the office got worse as Witham scored a 5th to wrap up the game.
