E-Bikeshop welcomes the recent publishing of "statutory guidance" from the UK Government on Battery Safety for electric bike retailers - a set of instructions which explains to businesses how to interpret and implement specific pieces of legislation.

We hope it will reduce the number of devastating fires and avoidable deaths caused by poor quality products place on the market by unscrupulous vendors.

On 12th December 2024, the UK Government provided statutory guidelines to the electric bike industry on the legislation covering electric bike batteries.
