Wow - 2 great games vs Sidewinders today. Split the double header with both being 1 run games. First game 3 extra innings to break the tie with first win on the mound for Alex Deacon who also hit the walk off single to win the game. Thanks to Sidewinders for 2 really fun games!

Tough loss at Latin Boys, and although we have plenty to work on, there were also plenty of positives.

Practise does make perfect, and it shows for us right now. Let's get some in and prove to ourselves we can play good baseball.

This Sunday sees the return of baseball for Daws Hill Spitfires! We play against a new team to AA this season Herts Hawks. First pitch at 12 at the beautiful Farnham Park! Come down and support it's meant to be a scorching day!

I know the back room staff are diligently working away at getting us some practise time arranged hopefully for this Sunday.

The main issues we will be addressing are:

Relays
Where is the play from the outfield
Run downs
Pitch selection
Catchers responsibility
Infield plays
Signs
Base coach responsibilities
Situational hitting
On deck hitter responsibilities
Dug out responsibilities

So actually the observant amongst you will notice a trend - Communication!

Get the communication right and we're definitely half way there!

Venue confirmed for our first indoor pre season training starting at 9 finishing at 12. Let's get those gloves dusted off and start how we finished!!
