Club member Nuno Luz has written this race report on the recent Gorrick evening MTB series that took place in June, and well done to him and the other club members that took part.

CANCELLED - Club TT Thursday 25 June 2026

Sorry folks but this week's club TT is cancelled.

It's just too hot to be running an event where the whole point is pushing yourself to the limit. We'll be rescheduling the club 10 mile championships for another date, and will be announcing this in due course.

FCCC CLUB TT 10m CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS HCC216a – THURSDAY 25 JUNE 2026 AT 19.00HRS

UPDATE - CANCELLED Sorry folks but this week's club TT is cancelled.
It's just too hot to be running an event where the whole point is pushing yourself to the limit. We'll be rescheduling the club 10 mile championships for another date, and will be announcing this in due course.

IMPORTANT NOTE - Given the current official red warning for extreme heat for Thursday, there is a good chance that we may have to cancel this TT for safety reasons. We will be keeping a close eye on the weather forecast and will advise accordingly. If we do have to cancel, then we will reschedule the Club 10 Championships to the date of another of our remaining 10-mile TTs.

The next Club TT is the Club 10 mile Championships on the HCC216a course (follow this link for the course map https://www.plotaroute.com/route/198873), starting in Franklin Avenue, Hartley Wintney on 25 June 2026 at 19:00.

Club TT events are open to all but only First Claim FCCC Members are eligible to win the Ladies, Mens, Veterans and Junior trophies that are up for grabs.

You don’t need any special kit, and a normal bike will do just fine. See below for the fact that you just need a helmet and lights.

Entrance is free to club members and £5 to non-members (payable at sign-on).

Sign-on is from 20 minutes prior to the start time and will close 5 minutes prior to the start time.

Riders are encouraged to park away from the start and then ride up to the start area.

Helmets, front lights and rear lights are compulsory to participate in any TT event – make sure you have them all or you will not be able to ride.

CTT REGULATION 14(i) and 14(j): No competitor shall be permitted to start either a Type A or Type B event unless such competitor has affixed to their machine a working front white light and rear red light, either flashing or constant, that is illuminated and in a position that is clearly visible to other road users.

There is no pushing-off.

Results will be available on the night via the Resultsheet app. QR code attached below, or follow this link - https://resultsheet.app/rsd/1782121625913x814110273687257100

FCCC CLUB TT 10m HCC175 – THURSDAY 18 JUNE 2026 AT 19:00HRS

UPDATE 18/6/26 - HCC175 is clear of roadworks and we will go ahead on that course tonight, as planned.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Both the primary course of HCC175 and our backup course of HCC216a have roadworks scheduled to take place this week, which could of course affect our TT. We are monitoring the situation, but please keep an eye out for updates should we have to switch to the backup course, or even cancel entirely. Clearly we are hoping that we can still run a TT this week, but it depends on the roadworks.

The next Club TT will be on the downhill-fast-starting 10 mile HCC175 course (follow this link for the course map https://www.plotaroute.com/route/265288), starting in Redlands Lane at Ewshot, on 18 June 2026 at 19:00.

Club TT events are open to all. You don’t need any special kit, and a normal bike will do just fine. See below for the fact that you just need a helmet and lights.

Entrance is free to club members and £5 to non-members (payable at sign-on).

You are asked to park and then ride up to the start area. THERE IS VERY LIMITED SPACE AT THE START AREA SO PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN IN REDLANDS LANE AND DO NOT OBSTRUCT THE ROAD OR RESIDENTS’ DRIVEWAYS.

The best place to park is Bowenhurst Lane adjacent to the BP Service Station just before the finish line – PLEASE RETURN HERE AFTER YOU HAVE FINISHED TO RETURN YOUR RACE NUMBER.

Sign-on is from 20 minutes prior to the start time and will close 5 minutes prior to the start time.

FCCC CLUB TT 11.5m HCC225b – THURSDAY 11 JUNE 2026 AT 19:00HRS

The next Club TT is the 11.5 mile HCC255b course (follow this link for the course map - https://www.plotaroute.com/route/198871), starting in Hartley Wintney, on 11 June 2026 at 19:00.

Club TT events are open to all. You don’t need any special kit, and a normal bike will do just fine. See below for the fact that you just need a helmet and lights.

Entrance is free to club members and £5 to non-members (payable at sign-on).

You are asked to park and then ride up to the sign-on area. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN MORTIMER CLOSE AT THE START AREA. We have had complaints in the past from local residents and do not want to give them any cause to complain.

Please endeavour to park in Hartley Wintney away from the sign-on area and then ride up to sign-on (this will close 5 minutes prior to the start time).

Sign-on is from 20 minutes prior to the start time and will take place in the road adjacent to the finish point marked “B” on the course map referenced above, approximately 150m due south from the start point “A”, where the signs for MILDMAY OAKS are.
