🏏 RESULT | PORTCHESTER WIN BY 120 RUNS 🏏

An emphatic derby-day victory as we completed the first half of the league season in style! 💪

After opting to bat first on a scorching afternoon, Portchester piled on a commanding 278/8 from our 40 overs. Leading from the front was skipper Shaz, who produced a sensational unbeaten 134* – his maiden century – with valuable contributions throughout the batting order ensuring the scoreboard kept ticking.

With the heat making life tough for the hosts in the field, it was then our bowlers who took control. Outstanding spells from Dan Webber, Amit Singh, and Ananya Pandey, backed up by disciplined support from the rest of the attack, saw finish 120 runs short of the target.

A fantastic all-round team performance to round off the first half of the season.

We head into the second half sitting comfortably in 2nd place on the table, with our sights firmly set on the top spot.

Onwards and upwards! 👊🏏

⚔️ 2 FROM 2 FOR THE KNIGHTS ⚔️

Our campaign couldn't have started much better, with back-to-back victories putting the Knights in a strong position early in Group 6.

✅ Won by 34 Runs

🏏 Match 2 vs Burridge CC
✅ Won by 3 Wickets

There have been contributions right across the squad so far, with batters, bowlers and fielders all stepping up when needed.

A special mention to Shaz, who bagged the POTM award in both the games with important runs, while several others have made key contributions in both victories.

The challenge gets even bigger this week as we face unbeaten in what promises to be one of the standout fixtures of the group stage.

Two unbeaten sides. One big contest.

🏏 MATCHDAY 5 🏏

We’re back at home this afternoon as we welcome to Cams Hill.

Four games into the season and the lads have built some strong momentum. Today is another opportunity to keep raising the standards and continue our positive start to the campaign.

Expect plenty of runs, wickets, and hopefully another great afternoon of cricket in the sunshine ☀️

🏏 RESULT | PORTCHESTER WIN BY 6 WICKETS 🏏

The run continues. 👊

A brilliant all-round team performance saw us restrict Havant 3rd XI to just 91, with five different bowlers taking two wickets each — a proper display of the bowling depth and pressure this side can create.

The chase wasn’t completely straightforward after finding ourselves 4 down inside the first 10 overs, but composure took over when it mattered most.

led the way with a superb unbeaten 52, guiding us home in style after also starring with the ball earlier in the day and taking home the POTM award.

Massive effort from everyone in scorching conditions ☀️

🏏 RESULT | PORTCHESTER CC WIN BY 130 RUNS 🏏

After being asked to bat first, Portchester put up a commanding 200 thanks to a superb unbeaten 86 from skipper Shaz, well supported by opener Ossie with 44 and a quick-fire cameo from Amit. 💥

The real statement came with the ball.
An exceptional bowling performance saw P&S dismissed for just 70, with every bowler contributing — either through wickets or by completely squeezing the scoring rate.

A massive start to the league season after last week’s opener was washed out by rain. The intent is clear. 👊
