What are nerves?

I guess they are thoughts that I feel. Little gut-heart messengers guiding me, tugging at my sleeves, reminding me to centre, to quiet, to listen.

And so it is, this evening in a couple of hours I'll be listening, tuning in to the 'space within' and with the help of those little nerve messengers kick some ass, tell some imperfect stories and aim my bow at Truth, play, listen, play.

I am a man. I am soft, warm, caring, vulnerable, sexy, awkward, cute.

I am a man - beautiful, strong, creative, whacky, sweet and delicate.

I am a man - funny, imperfect, uncertain, ugly. I make mistakes, I am scared of fully living.

I am a man - I am simple, complicated, easygoing, serious, loving, playful, confident, outgoing, anxious and introverted, dependant.

I am a man - confident, charming, fun, generous and kind, secure and free, unique, connected, open, sovereign, complete.

I am a 'man' - that is my chosen identification. That does not define me. Human does not define me, Theo, Coach, brother, son, person, body, mood, medical diagnosis, ice-cream flavour. I am indefinable by these. I am as limited as I think I am. The true me is unlimited. You are unlimited. Time and space is unlimited, because it is an illusion created and sustained by the power of Thought. I am beyond that. Why limit myself by definitions and the assumptions attributed to them, constructed by culture, religion, society, in other words by the personal? I am free to play, to be me, radically, truly, playfully - unlimited but for the thoughts I think about it, which are no problem if I see them for just that: thoughts.

I am not a man. I am not a woman. I am just like you, finding my way in this great mystery, unfolding, wisdom in my heart, the power of five senses at my fingertips, in a process of letting go...

Letting go of what I think I know.
