BICTON REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!
What a wonderful Championships. I enjoyed enormously seeing you all there, from the Minis on the Friday to Saturday and Sunday as well. What a credit you were to your Branches. All putting in the maximum effort and so beautifully turned out! A massive well done to all who represented their Branch and Area 16.
An equally huge thanks must go to Andrew and Helen and all their brilliant Bicton team. What an undertaking! 5 days of wonderful competition and fortunately only one really wet day. Thank you so, so much. Your efforts are very much appreciated by all our members.
In the 70 dressage team comp South Devon West were second and Little Margate 7th with wins for Holly Steer SDW and Maria Loewendahl LM in their sections. In the ride off Rose Atkin, Dartmoor was second and Holly Steer third.
In the 70+ comp Arleya Murphy from South Devon West won.
In the 80 team dressage comp Little Margate were third, SDW were 8th and Fourburrow 9th. Emily Pears , South Pool, won her section and was 5th in the Ride Off.
On to the Show Jumping.
In the 70cm class the team win went to the Fourburrow Branch with Little Margate coming 4th. Alexandra Gunning, South Pool was 2nd individually and Jennifer Rosser, FB was 3rd.
The 80cm Show Jumping Comp was won by spooners and West Dartmoor, with South Pool 4th, Fourburrow 5th and SDW 9th. Kezia Getson Fromm Spooners was 3rd individually with Mawgan Dennis, LM 4th, Libby Rogers, South Pool 6th and Bea Sutherland SDW 9th.
In the 70+ SJ comp Jessica Mallen of Dartmoor was 3rd and Mawgan Dennis, LM was 5th.
And finally on to the Regional Eventing
In the 70 Eventing the Area Team of three, Braxton,South Devon Moorland, Olivia, SDM and Libby ,SP won the class. Braxton Cole also won his section, Zola Webber, Eggesford was 5th and Yolanda Freeman, FB was 10th. Olivia Cole, SDM was second in her section with Holly Steer, SDW 4th, Daisy Stevens, Western 5th, Esmie Smith, Lamerton 6th and Tallula Taylor, FB 8th. Zola Webber, Eggesford, won her other section with Libby Rogers, South pool 7th and Emily Slugget, LM, 8th. Aurelia Grummett from Little Margate also won her section.
In the 80 Eventing there were some great individual placings. Emily Pears, SP was 5th, Jessica Mallen, Dartmoor, 6th, Isla Squire, Eggesford, 8th, Dolcie Powell, LM, 6th, Chloe Rose, FB, 8th, Cara Tamblyn, LM, 7th, Sophie Jamieson, Western, 6th and Hazel Allen, Spooners and West, 9th.
In the 70+ Eventing Yasmin Boother of Little Margate was 3rd and Tilda Wesson, FB 6th and finally Eve Nicholas, Cury, 9th.
