Falkland 4 - 1 Bridge of Earn

Tonight we welcomed Bridge of Earn 35’s to Falkland for a Perthshire League Cup fixture.

Pitch was in perfect condition and the match kicked off in the evening sunshine.

We went 1-0 in front when Perries effort beat the keeper just inside the post.

Play swung from end to end and we had a few chances to increase our lead but there was no more goals and at half time we lead 1-0.

Early in the second half Bissett made it 2-0 at the second attempt.

Both teams had chances and when we broke forward and lost possession the visitors capitalised and hit us with a goal to bring them back into the tie,unfortunately the Goalscorer was unable to continue and had to be helped from the field,hopefully nothing to serious.

We went 3-1 in front with goal of the night from Page with an excellent strike into the top corner.

Soon after an excellent move down the right ended with Hardie finishing of a great move.

Three points puts us top of the mini table with 3 difficult away games to come,travelling to Perth next two games.

Next Friday we travel to North Inch Campus,Perth to face Craigie with a 7.20pm kick off.

Tomorrow we welcome Bridge of Earn 35’s to Tyndall Bruce Park for a Perthshire League Cup fixture.
This will unfortunately be our last fixture at home due to lack of light and our home games will move to Astro pitches over the autumn & winter.
Kick Off tomorrow is 6.30pm.

We’ve had an unexpected wee break with teams calling off but we have a few games coming up against our Perthshire opponents,just needing to arrange suitable kick off times for us to travel up to Perth & Scone.

Tomorrow night we face last season's Sunday Scottish cup finalists Eddy's Bar AFC at Tyndall Bruce Park in Falkland.
A tough run out in our penultimate preseason game is expected.
