Scotland last qualified for a World Cup in 1998 and one year later, J4K started. Never did we think it would be another 28 years before Scotland were back. In that time, J4K has trained hundreds of thousands of goalkeepers worldwide whilst providing premium quality gloves at affordable prices. Indeed, J4K only started selling gloves as students would often complain about their gloves wearing out/being too expensive and an idea was formed. We are proud over the decades our gloves have been worn by kids just starting out to professionals, some that have went on to World Cups.

An outstanding performance between the sticks from Cruz, who continues to grow in confidence and quality every single week. Unlucky not to come away with a clean sheet on Tuesday night, but yesterday he was absolutely immense and there for everything we needed.

Any loose balls dropping through, Cruz was quick off his line and always alert, staying switched on throughout the game. His concentration and awareness proved crucial around the 65-minute mark when Dunblane broke through our defence, leaving their striker one-on-one with Cruz. He stepped up in a huge moment and pulled off an excellent save to keep us firmly in the game.

It was clear to see just how impressive his performance was considering he picked up just about all the votes from his teammates and parents alike.

This award is thoroughly deserved. Cruz has had a tough season dealing with injuries, but he’s shown great character to bounce back stronger. A big personality in the dressing room and a commanding presence on the pitch—exactly the kind of attitude every team needs.
