To the Home of Community Football

Dear Little Kerse,

Just a quick update before Scotland take on Morocco tonight.

The training camp has taken a slightly unexpected turn.

Yesterday’s preparation for the big game involved heading out onto the Atlantic in search of three points.

We’re pleased to report that the fishing was considerably more successful than most Scotland World Cup campaigns.

Between us we landed sharks, rays, flounders and enough fish to keep the local chippy in business for a week.

Before we head off, a huge good luck to everyone attending tonight’s Galaxy Foundation Summer of Football Match Event.

Another FREE evening helping young people enjoy Scotland’s return to the World Cup after 28 summers.

Dear Little Kerse,

Just a quick update from New York.

I’m not sure how the Scotland players are finding this World Cup camp...

But I can confirm it’s a tough shift out here.

The daily schedule currently consists of:

👣 25,000 steps
🍔 Questionable food decisions
🍺 Hydration (of sorts)
⚽ Football
🔁 Repeat

Somewhere along the way we’ve climbed skyscrapers, visited historic pubs, met Tartan Army members from every corner of the globe and somehow managed to squeeze in a Scotland World Cup win.

The memories are stacking up.

The legs are heavy.

The bank card is asking serious questions.

And I’m beginning to suspect this isn’t actually a football trip anymore.

Still, sacrifices have to be made for Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

One of the best things about being the Home of Community Football is seeing the impact the Galaxy Foundation has on young people throughout the year.

This summer, the Foundation team will once again be delivering six weeks of football camps here at Little Kerse, giving local children the chance to stay active, make friends and enjoy their holidays through football.

With full-day and half-day options available, it’s a fantastic way to keep young players busy over the summer break.

Dear Little Kerse,
Just a quick update...

Although we’re not entirely sure what day it is anymore.

The last few days have consisted of planes, trains, football, bucket hats, Tartan Army sing-songs and somehow ending up on TikTok.
The memories, however, will last a lifetime.

Most importantly, We made it into the stadium to witness a bit of history as Scotland picked up a World Cup win.

The voice is hanging on by a thread.
The legs are questioning a few life choices.
The struggle bus has been boarded.

But we keep moving.

“Hi, arrived safe.”

The most important text message of any lads’ holiday... eh we mean work trip.

Stevie has now completed his duties and informed everyone back home that he’s landed in New York ahead of Scotland’s World Cup adventure.

The suitcase made it.
The bucket hat made it.
The Scotland top made it.

Now all we need is Scotland to make it out the group.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing Stevie’s postcards from the USA as he follows the Tartan Army across the World Cup.

🌍⚽ Tomorrow, the World Cup begins.

Ask any football fan and they'll often say:
"The first World Cup I really remember was..."

Maybe it was Italia '90.
Maybe France '98.
Maybe South Africa 2010.

Tomorrow, a new generation of young players begins making those same memories.
For some children, this will be the first World Cup they truly follow. The first time they stay up to watch a game. The first time they pick a favourite player. The first time they run outside afterwards trying to recreate a goal they've just seen on the biggest stage.

The stories haven't been written yet.
The heroes haven't emerged yet.
The dreams start tomorrow.

And this summer, we're excited to see how those moments inspire the next generation....
