Another race weekend, another step forward.
This weekend Theo competed in the Scottish Open, taking on a stronger field and another new challenge as he continues his journey through the novice ranks.
It’s been a difficult start to the season. Between injuries, mechanical issues, funding challenges, and some truly miserable weather, preparation hasn’t been easy. To give himself the best chance possible, Theo completed seven days of karting in just two and a half weeks leading into the event.
The results showed.
At the start of testing he was around six seconds off the pace. By the final race of the weekend, he had reduced that gap to just one second. The finishing positions don’t tell the full story – the real achievement was the progress made throughout the weekend.
A huge thank you to everyone who supports Theo’s journey. To our sponsors, supporters, family, friends, coaches, and everyone who follows along, your encouragement genuinely makes a difference.
A special mention also goes to our 17-year-old mechanic and fellow driver, whose hard work transformed the kart throughout the weekend. Grassroots motorsport is about far more than developing drivers. It creates opportunities for young mechanics, engineers, coaches, and volunteers to learn their craft and build valuable experience.
That’s one of the things we love most about this sport.
Most importantly, Theo is now halfway through completing his novice signatures and one step closer to earning his full race licence. It’s taken a little longer than we’d hoped, but we’re moving in the right direction.
On to the next race. 🏁
