Meet my amazing client Katrina 💪✨

Katrina came to me in the lead up to her first ever HYROX with one goal: to feel strong, confident, and prepared when she stepped onto that race floor.

Alongside attending classes at Coming PT, our 1-to-1 sessions focused on building upper body strength, especially for movements like the sled pull, which Katrina wanted to improve. We also worked on developing her running endurance, as running is such a key part of HYROX and something we felt needed extra focus.

On top of that, we spent time perfecting technique for each station to make sure everything met HYROX standards and avoid any no-reps or penalties on race day.

Katrina has been incredible in every session always pushing herself, showing up consistently, and even getting up early for sessions… which if you know Katrina, you’ll know mornings definitely aren’t her thing 😂

Although HYROX was the main focus, Katrina also mentioned she’d be happy if she lost a little weight along the way. Through consistent training and fuelling her body properly, she not only got stronger and fitter but also started noticing changes in her body too.

Her biggest moment was completing her first HYROX simulation running the full race without stopping and improving her station times. That was the moment she realised: she can do this.

Here’s what Katrina had to say about her experience with Crafted Coaching 👇

“Training for HYROX is a whole different ball game. The running, the fatigue, the stations… it demands so much more from your body and mindset.

Anya created a structure that made me stronger, improved my cardio, and helped me learn how to keep pushing even when I was tired. She constantly encouraged me to challenge myself and lift heavier so race weights would feel more manageable.

She checked in regularly, answered every question, shared nutrition advice, and somehow made every session both challenging and fun.

If you’re thinking about working with a PT, just do it. Anya genuinely listens, tailors everything to you, and supports you every step of the way. I’m so grateful for the time and effort she’s put into helping me feel stronger, more confident, and ready for HYROX.”

Hard truths...

- You can go absolutely ham in the gym, but if you’re eating like s**t, that’s what’s stopping your gains. It’s true you can’t out-train a bad diet. 🍾🍔

- I’m a coach. I can’t force you to train. I can’t make you stick to your calories. I can’t do it for you. If you’re not willing to put the work in, don’t get upset when you don’t see results.💪🏼🤸‍♀️

- You’re not too busy. You just haven’t prioritised it yet.

- Weekends are fu***ng up your progress. Great effort Monday–Friday, but the Chinese, bottle of wine, cakes, and coffees at the weekend still count. That’s your full week’s calories right there.🍺🍸

- There is no “perfect time.” That’s just excuses and delaying progress.

- Training hard and sleeping like crap is self-sabotage. Recovery is part of the program.😴

- If you only train when you feel like it, you’ll look exactly like someone who only trains when they feel like it.

- Alcohol isn’t “just liquid calories.” It wrecks recovery, sleep, hormones, and decision-making. Pick your poison knowingly. 🥂

- You don’t need a new program. You need to actually follow the one you already have.

- You didn’t “fall off.” You chose off-plan behaviour. Own it then fix it.

- If you “eat healthy” but never track, you’re probably eating more than you think. Eyeballing calories is lying to yourself. 🥗

This is my amazing client Eilidh 🤍

Eilidh came to me feeling stuck in a bit of a rut with her training. Working long hours and night shifts in the hospital, she was struggling with gym confidence, knowing what to do, and how to make the most of the limited time she had.

She wanted consistency, better overall fitness, and to feel confident and motivated in the gym not anxious every time she walked in. She wanted guidance, accountability, and to finally feel like she knew what she was doing.

From the very beginning, Eilidh showed up and trusted the process. Over time, her confidence, strength, and fitness have grown massively. Not only is she now comfortable and confident in the gym, but she also went on to complete the Great North Run 🏃‍♀️ an incredible achievement and a true reflection of the hard work she’s put in.

Here’s what she had to say:

“From the very beginning, Anya made me feel completely comfortable. She is knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely supportive. Every session was structured and well planned, and I always felt encouraged to push myself while still feeling supported.
I’ve gained so much confidence in myself and my abilities, my strength and fitness have increased, and I now feel confident in the gym. I would absolutely recommend personal training with Anya you leave every session feeling confident and accomplished.”

So proud of you, Eilidh 🤍
If you’re juggling a busy schedule, struggling with gym confidence, or feeling unsure where to start this is your sign ✨

Things I Wish I Knew When I First Started Training 🏋🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

Motivation won’t take you very far.
Motivation fades fast especially when it’s cold, wet, and you’re tired. I get it. But every time you skip a session, you move further away from your goal. The days you don’t feel like training when you’d rather stay in bed are the days that matter most. Discipline beats motivation every time.

More isn’t always better.
You don’t need to train every single day. Rest is one of the most important parts of training. Your body needs time to recover so it can come back bigger, better, and stronger. Training hard without recovery only slows progress.

Have a plan and stick to it.
Go to the gym with a program and follow it consistently. Use the same main exercises week to week and stick with them for at least 8 weeks. Each week, aim to improve more weight, extra reps, or better form. Constantly chopping and changing exercises makes it harder to progress and even harder to see how far you’ve actually come.

Nutrition matters just as much as training.
You can’t out-train a bad diet it’s true. If you want to change your body, training alone isn’t enough. Eating pizza, burgers, and smashing a pack of crisps every night won’t get you looking like the Hulk or Kim K. Food fuels progress.

You don’t need to be sore after every session.
DOMS don’t equal a good workout. You can train hard and effectively without barely being able to walk the next day. Progress comes from consistency, not destroying yourself every session.

Who you surround yourself with matters.
Your environment plays a huge role in your progress. Whether it’s your gym community or your friends, you want people who support you, push you, and want to see you win. Not people who put you down, doubt your goals, or lead you off track. The right people make the journey easier the wrong ones make it harder.

Fitness is a long-term game.
Results take longer than social media makes it seem but when they’re built properly, they last. Focus on habits you can sustain, not shortcuts. This isn’t a 30-day challenge, it’s a lifestyle.

Being strong is feminine 🏋🏽‍♀️

Don’t let other people make you think that having muscle or being strong makes you less feminine.

It amazes me how many women I hear every day say, “I only want to do cardio, no weights I don’t want to get big and bulky or look manly.” Then they show me their dream physique… and it’s a muscular, toned woman. The truth is, lifting weights isn’t going to make you bulky or masculine.

Don’t let other people’s opinions or their narrow idea of femininity decide what you do or how you feel. At the end of the day, the only opinion that truly matters is yours.

Being strong and having visible muscle isn’t just for men.

These photos and videos aren’t just of me; they reflect a community of strong, confident women who look amazing.
