Thank you to everyone who baked, volunteered on the green, and helped in the clubhouse today, you did the club proud!!

Special thanks to all the new bowlers who came along, it was brilliant to see so many families and kids on the green enjoying the day. Your attendance was greatly appreciated and made our day.

Just a reminder, this coming Sunday 3rd May 2026 as part of the Bowls Scotland National Try Bowls Weekend, Allandale Bowling Club will be hosting a Try Bowls Day at the club.

The event will run from 1pm to 5pm, and is an opportunity for people of all ages to come along and try the game of bowls in a family friendly environment. All equipment will be provided on the day, there will be fun games on the green, with support provided by qualified coaches.

The club bar will be open and tea/coffee and home baking will be available.

All we ask is that you bring flat soled shoes for wearing on the green.

Please come along, enjoy the day, and see what your local community club has to offer. Membership offers available on the day.

The event will run from 1pm to 5pm, and is an opportunity for people of all ages to come along and try the game of bowls in a family friendly environment. All equipment will be provided on the day, there will be fun games on the green, with support provided by qualified coaches.

Just a little message from Sharon 💛

As a small local business, I absolutely love being able to give back to our community, support local clubs, and help where I can. But I can only do that when the business is doing well.

Right now, in the current climate the travel industry as a whole is facing some really tough challenges again. It honestly feels harder than during Covid in many ways, but we don’t have the same support this time around.

One thing is certain that in all the doom & gloom people still want a holiday, it’s great to hear and see you all going on holiday and I thank everyone who books with Bonny Travel for your support.

I know it’s tempting to book online, and many people think it’s cheaper — but I just want to remind you that we are a Jet2holidays booking centre and we will not be beaten on price… including TUI and easyJet holidays.

I hear lots of people say, oh I didn’t want to bother you (🤦‍♀️)
PLEASE Before you click “book” online, please just send me (or the shop page) a screenshot of what you’ve found. I can match it — and quite often even beat it!
