⭐️ A quick pause before the summer touch season to celebrate our winter development.

📈The biggest positive over our ERDS campaign is easy to see, and that’s the growth of our younger players - showing huge amounts of resilience and improvement through every round.

✅With several senior players unavailable over the series, the challenge was more than substantial, and yet our youngsters took it on with real courage. Notably our best round result came with our most skilled senior player unavailable. Their growth showed in improving performances across the rounds - with results building consistently as the series progressed.

💡For us, making progress is the ultimate pursuit and our young developers exemplified this, taking each ‘defeat’ as simply an opportunity to learn something new, before applying their new understanding at their next available opportunity.

👏We simply couldn’t be prouder of their commitment to keep improving - here recognising those who have led that charge across the whole series:

NOMADS Female MVP of the Series –
Scarlett Fait
✨⭐️ 🏆 ⭐️✨

NOMADS Male MVP of the Series –
Donnie Carpenter
✨⭐️ 🏆 ⭐️✨

🥇Both have been outstanding, not just in performance, but in consistency, attitude, and the standards they’ve set across the campaign.

🧠 As a development focused outfit, we fully recognise growth mindset as a greater predictor of future success than current level of ability, so we’re so excited to see where all of our young athletes’ journeys take them - both on and off the field.

☀️ We now turn our attention to the summer ahead. More Touch to play, more opportunities to grow, and more chances to compete, with a number of Nomads players also stepping up to represent our region at Nationals level.

🏉 The work continues…

Another hugely successful outing yesterday at ERDS Round 4. This time we finished second in the pool stages, qualifying for the Cup finals and ultimately securing 4th place in Division 1 — our highest ever finish in the current ERDS competitive format.

At the heart of this achievement is the continued development and concentration of our young players. Time and again, they prove there’s seemingly no ceiling to how much they can astound us with their performances, stepping up with confidence, composure and real quality.

As a true team effort, it’s incredibly difficult to single out individuals. So, for the first time ever, we have joint MVPs:
🏅 Female MVPs – Eliza & Scarlett, both absolutely foundational to our success throughout the day.
🏅 Male MVPs – Isaac & Riley, who are beginning to show clear glimpses of the elite-level players they’re destined to become.

As always, a huge thank you to the organisers and officials for delivering another fantastic ERDS round, to our friends from across the region for their strong competition and excellent sportsmanship, and to the organisations, schools, facilities and sponsors who continue to support our development in this brilliant, inclusive sport.

We’re back for Round 5 on 1st February, the penultimate ERDS round before the National season gets going.

🎉Happy New Year from all of us at Nomads!

⭐️Tomorrow we kick off 2026 with our first fixture of the year at ERDS Round 4, and here’s the team sheet ready to go.

❄️It’s clearly going to be a cold one out there, but after a great Christmas we’re very much looking forward to burning off a few mince pies and trying to get back into our rhythm! 😅

📈A new year, more great opportunities for development, and another chance to enjoy playing this brilliant game together! Let’s Go 2026! 🏉🖐️

Happy Christmas to everyone connected to Nomads - our players past and present, families, friends, followers, and the wider regional and national Touch community.

A huge thank you to every volunteer, employee, referee, organiser and official who gives their time, energy and care to make this sport and this community what it is. What you create reaches far beyond the pitch.

And for anyone spending today in a less than ideal way, perhaps feeling a little disconnected or carrying more than they’d like - please know this: you are part of something bigger. You are connected to a community that looks out for its own, that notices effort, values people, and quietly wishes each other well, even when life feels heavy.

Nomads has always been about more than results. It’s about belonging, support, shared values and showing up for one another, on good days and difficult ones alike.

Wishing peace, warmth and strength to you and yours today. Wherever you are, you’re not alone.

Last week’s final session of 2025 had a definite festive feel — plenty of laughs, great energy, a Christmas theme… and yes, a few mince pies were very much enjoyed 😅

A perfect way to round off the year together before a well-earned break.

Wishing all of our Nomads family, friends, supporters and the wider Touch community a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year. Thank you for being part of what makes this club so special — we can’t wait to get back out there with you in 2026.

Another successful ERDS outing yesterday, and once again we held our place in Division 1 — but this time, the real story was how clearly our growth shone through!

In the early pool stages we managed to unsettle, challenge, and squeeze out a tight win over , who in later rounds found their normal rhythm, going on to win in the 3rd/4th playoff. We also pushed all the way to an exhilarating drop-off, showing just how far our gameplay, decision-making and belief have come.

Our MVPs for the day:
🏅 Holly Ari — our captain, leading through her excellent example as always.
🏅 Gareth Nicholls — whose energy, skill and creativity lit up our performance throughout the day.

We’re back for Round 4 on 4th January, with perhaps the perfect chance to run off a bit of festive excess! 😅

And as the year draws to a close, we want to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has made our journey possible: our fellow England Touch players across the community, the schools, facilities and organisations who’ve welcomed and supported us, our families who’ve stood by us, and our friends and followers who’ve encouraged us every step of the way. You are the most meaningful part of what we do.

Here’s our squad for today’s final ERDS outing of the year — and what a day it’s going to be!

Our young players especially have been so positive in training, bringing great energy and real intent to keep developing. Now we get to see if we can finish the year by maintaining our place in Division 1. It’ll be a real challenge given the quality of the opposition, but one we’re excited for. You can check out how we’re getting on this morning via the live results page - link in bio or comments.

Whatever the outcome, we know we’ll have a fantastic day socially — enjoying our time together, catching up with friends from across the region, and soaking up the festive season vibes ✨🎄🏉✨

A brilliant session last Wednesday night at Fakenham Academy- filled with energy, friendship and lots learned! And made even better by welcoming back two of our most loved Nomads players from years gone by! It felt like they’d never left, and the smiles all round said it all!

With just three training sessions left before Nomads head out for our final ERDS outing of 2025, tomorrow night’s session is a perfect chance for all of us to step up our work on fitness, decision-making and overall performance ahead of the team selection.

Whether you’re building towards competitive Touch or simply enjoying having a great run around each week, we’d love to see everyone there.

What a fantastic day for the Nomads at Saturday’s Norfolk Winter Touch Series.

Once again, we proudly fielded players who’ve only been playing Touch for a few weeks — three debutants this time — and every one of them rose to the challenge brilliantly. Murphy Howard, James Falkingham and Rob Morton all had outstanding debuts, each getting on the scoresheet, with Rob even picking up Male MVP for quickly becoming foundational to our successes!

Meanwhile Scarlett Fait continued her meteoric rise in the sport, defending with real grit and crossing the line four times throughout the day to once again pick up the Female MVP!

Leo Morton showed every bit of his regional-level pedigree with sharp decision-making and superb playmaking, instrumental in many of those scores and plenty more besides.

A massive shoutout also goes to Lyndon and Acacia Hall, who brought fantastic energy and a brilliant attitude all day long — absolutely setting the example.

With our club captain away, young Riley Williams stepped up to lead the team and did a great job guiding the group through a day of learning, effort and a fair bit of humour! 😅

A huge thank you to:
• Andy Verney, for organising this event so well — the tone, format, pitches and communication have been outstanding.
• The referees, who were tireless and superb, officiating at the perfect level for our developing players.
• The nine other teams who make up our amazing Norfolk Touch community — every game competitive, almost always in brilliant spirit, and with the standard of Touch growing as fast as the number of new friends we’ve made.

With the third tournament falling too close to Christmas, the wise call has been made to end the Winter Series here — and return with a fresh series in the Spring. We’re already looking forward to it.
