Couldn't be prouder of the boys tonight representing the club on the St Josephs show in Newport. All did the club proud in the first fights.
First off we had Blake in his debut had a skills for his first outing. Showed some good head movement, a good defence and a good right hand. Great experience for him and was smiling from ear to ear by the end.
Next up we had Cayden, fighting a local lad with a strong home crowd. For a first fight it was a war!!! Cayden took a standing count in the first but showed some proper heart in second and gave his opponent 2 standing counts of his own. Both fighters were very tired in the third but Cayden proved the stronger and landed another l9vely right hand to cause another standing count and therefore forcing the ref to stop the contest.
Next up we had big Mo, unfortunately his opponent weighed in significantly over weight so it was deemed that the bout would be an exhibition instead. Both fighters displayed good skills and a l9vely display of respect. Great experience for both.
Well done boys, back in the gym Monday and on to the next 🥊 🥊

Another win on the road for Omari tonight. Fight was called off at the start of the 3rd after a murderous barrage at the end of the 2nd. Best Wishes to a very game lad from Llynfi valley who will come again I'm sure.

Gotta say a massive thank you to Luke Richards and Llanishen ABC for a fantastic afternoon of boxing. Made all the better with Josh getting the nod from the judges in a very close split decision which could've gone either way in what turned out to be fight of the night as well. Well done Josh 🥊🥊

📢Coach news📢
Nick joined us as a volunteer just over a year ago and since passed his Leader Coach award. He works hard training the kids most evenings, shows knowledge, skills and dedication to our fighters and to the club. He takes time out of his busy life to accompany Mike and the fighters to shows and today has passed the Club Coach Award!
