The popular Brian & June Wall day was held on Saturday 13th August. This event is an annual fundraising afternoon with all the proceeds going to the Colbalt unit in Cheltenham. With a raffle, entry fees, fines for the slightest misdemeanour and sales of Tea/Coffee and cake and BBQ, a substantial amount was raised. Well done to all those members who attended, helped and enjoyed the day. The eventual winners of this open pairs competition were Tim Bloomer and Jacqui May beating David & Colin Hooper by the narrowest of margins. Thanks must go to Terry Coss for organising the day at short notice.

History has been made at Fairford Bowling Club!
Ken Sawyer and Tim Bloomer have given Fairford their first ever national trophy by winning the national senior pairs championships at the Bowls England finals at Leamington Spa

A massive well done and congratulations to Ken and Tim

Slightly delayed but last weekend FBC completed its indoor season with a successful finals weekend.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Fairford Bowling Club.

Already ready for the annual Christmas lunch tomorrow and the Christmas draw on Wednesday.

Now just the small matter of myself, George Hats Robins and Colin Hooper cooking for 100 guests tomorrow lunchtime.

Sunday 28th May saw a bright sunny day for our 'Big Bowls' open day! We welcomed probably the largest number of visitors that we have had in a while.

The bar and BBQ were both very popular resulting in some visitors sitting for longer in the warm sunshine.

Thanks must go to all our members who turned up to support and help with our guests, giving them a taste of bowls and showing them what the club has to offer. Thanks to George for his sterling work on the BBQ and all those who covered the bar for the day.

All-in-all a great success and we look forward to seeing those who signed up for more coaching and potential membership.
