Junior Presidents Cup - Sunday 21st June

Our Cadet & Elite Juniors played their 3rd Junior League competition of the year which was kindly sponsored by our club President Dave Onslow ⛳️

Great scores on the day as our junior section goes from strength to strength…many thanks to Glenn and our junior committee for all their hard work and dedication 👏🏌🏼‍♂️🏌🏽‍♀️

Eyton Cup - Saturday 20th June ⛳️

The Eyton Cup was kindly sponsored by Andy & Jo Johnson and what a fabulous day we all had…treated to a half time refreshments buggy and fantastic array of prizes, we were all truly spoilt by their generosity 🛻🥇🥈🏌🏽‍♀️🏌🏼‍♂️

Prize winners of the day are pictured below with Fran Parkes winning the overall winners prize and the prestigious Eyton Cup title 🏆

Presidents Day Competition - June 13th ⛳️

The sun was shining for Presidents Day and there was a great turnout of competitor’s who enjoyed bacon baps on arrival before the competition commenced. 🏌🏼‍♂️🏌🏽‍♀️

Louise Johnson was the overall winner of The Presidents Cup with a fantastic 62 points narrowly beating her husband Peter Johnson by 2 points 🏆

The prize winners are pictured below and the Presidents charity raffle raised a fabulous £360 adding to our overall charity pot for “The Christie Charity”

Our Plassey DGU team hosted their home match against Ruthin Pwllglas today….looking smart in their new team tops, it was a close fought match with Plassey being victorious 3.5 - 2.5 🏌🏼‍♂️🏌🏼‍♂️👏

Junior Captains Day was amazing, Chanelle our Junior Captain and her parents Steve & Stacey organised a fabulous weekend from start to finish….pictures below of the main winners of the day with the overall winner of the Junior Captains Cup being presented to Louie with a fantastic score of 44 points 🏆🏌🏼‍♂️

A special mention to Ysgol Clywedog steel pan band who played for our members and Plassey guests before and after the presentation 🥁🎼

On Friday our Lady Captain Fran Parkes organised a fantastic away day for her ladies at Upton Golf Club….it was a lovely day with great weather, company, food, drink, not to mention the fabulous golf 🏌🏽‍♀️⛳️

Great scores came in, with our lady Captain scoring an amazing 45 points…gracefully declining the 1st Prize this then went to Louise Johnson who also scored high with 38 points beating Joanne Johnson on count-back 👏

Last weekend Alice, one of our talented Plassey juniors competed at the Ping Northern Tour at Louth Golf Club.

Wishing our Honorary Lifetime Vice President Dave Brayshaw a very Happy 80th Birthday 🥳

Dave has been a member of Plassey Golf Club from 1992, which was the official year of opening and has been our club secretary for many years 🏌🏼‍♂️🏌️

Members played the Professionals Cup Competition this weekend….this competition was sponsored by John & Sarah Brookshaw as a thank you to our club Pro/coach Glenn 🏌🏼‍♂️🏌️

Great scores in on both Fridays Seniors competition with Seniors overall winner being Mike Williams and Saturdays main competition with the overall winner of the Professionals Cup being won by Daryl Oehme 🏆

A special mention to Ieaun who scored a hole in one on the 8th 👏

Thank you also to our Greenkeeper’s who as always presented the course in a fabulous condition ⛳️
