MAD Bike Repairs Former pro Mechanic Giles Wolfe has converted his garden shed into a pro workshop for local use. He took an interest in Triathlon and Mountainbike racing.

1991- after a successful junior road racing career Giles found himself running a successful cycle shop in North Kent. After 3 years he started to get itchy feet, not wanting to be stuck behind a counter for the rest of his working life, he came up with the concept of

“Wolfe’s Mobile

Cycle Service”

A local door to door bike repair service. Simple. All he needed was a bit of start up capital (thanks to Mr Wolfe Snr and Barclays bank!) and the business was born.

1995- Giles discovered a love for Mountain-bike racing and was soon driving around the UK attending races in his custom Mercedes van. His mechanics services were soon in demand and he found himself being signed up as the Team Manager/mechanic for Muddy Fox Racing. Giles gets involved at Penshurst Offroad Club (PORC) and meets Richard Johnson.1 mth later Giles gets Richard a deal with Muddy Fox. Richard and Giles sart doing shows together, Giles with logistic/cash/voice/ Richard with riding skills. M.A.D is born (see first brochure below)

Giles attends the World Championships in Germany as chief mechanic Dave Hemming and the British Duel Slalom Downhill Team.

1996- Giles is one of the first 6 people to qualify as an ABCC
